In the game Atomfall, there are numerous hidden references that span from classic British sci-fi and post-war pop culture to more recent nods towards Rebellion Developments’ collection of games. These Easter eggs aren’t immediately obvious – you won’t find a flashing neon sign pointing them out (except for one instance). However, if you pay close attention and have a good understanding of British pop culture history, you will be able to spot many of the hidden gems in Atomfall.
This tutorial provides details on the locations of virtually all significant Easter eggs within the game ‘Atomfall’, including the origin and background stories of each ‘Atomfall’ reference, as well as intriguing facts about these hidden gems. Players of ‘Atomfall’ will also discover the precise coordinates for each Easter egg to aid in accurately pinpointing the location of every reference.
Mr. Bean Easter Egg
One memorable scene from the early episodes of the classic British sitcom Mr. Bean, involves the main character being compelled to navigate his yellow Mini Cooper with a broom, as he was seated precariously atop the vehicle, secured by a couch strapped to the roof.
The “Atomfall” citation seems a tad off the beaten path for common observation. With a bit of squinting, one can discern a distinctly recognizable yellow Mini Cooper perched atop the cliffs in the northwest corner of Slatten Dale, along with a couch and a broom, above the remains of the wrecked Convoy.

The Italian Job Easter Egg

One rephrased option could be: “The Italian Job” stands among the most fashionably crafted films ever produced, brimming with memorable lines and striking images that have earned it a widespread appeal. Within the chilly expanses of Casterfell Dam’s northern sector, gamers may encounter red, yellow, and blue Mini Coopers dangerously perched on the crumbling edge of a damaged highway stretch.
Similar to how Mr. Bean’s car is a recognizable symbol even at a distance, Photo Mode allows you to zoom in closely to observe the vehicles, revealing their interiors which are modeled after the characters from the movie as well.

The Wicker Man Easter Egg

The resemblance between the traditional Wickerman in the Druid Camp and the one from the 1972 movie “The Wicker Man” is striking, especially given the similar large wooden horns adorning its head and the overall likeness to the movie’s prop. This is likely a deliberate reference to the film.
It serves as the temporary resting place for a deceased and contaminated corpse, destined to be cremated in accordance with the Voice In The Soil’s decree.

Kilroy Was Here Easter Egg
Among the earliest memes ever created, dating back to World War II, is the “Kilroy Was Here” tag that became a common sight on the battlefronts of the Allies.
As a gamer, I find myself immersed in the world of Atomfall, a setting that seems barely separated from the aftermath of World War II. The stone fortifications encircling Wyndham Village serve as a canvas for historical graffiti, hinting at their former life as surplus materials from the war’s conclusion.

Judge Dredd Easter Egg
Before developing popular games like “Atomfall,” “Sniper Elite,” and “Zombie Army,” Rebellion Developments had previously worked on the “Judge Dredd” intellectual property, specifically the 2003 game titled “Judge Dredd: Dredd VS Death.” This helmet, tucked away in a shelf deep within a Protocol bunker in Skethermoor, is a nod to Rebellion’s history with this franchise.

The Prisoner Easter Egg
The movie “Atomfall” abounds with nods to iconic British sci-fi and pulp literature of the post-war timeframe. One notable British TV series from the 1960s that’s highly regarded is “The Prisoner,” a thought-provoking show centered around a captured secret agent living in a picturesque, enigmatic village.
In the novel Atomfall, there are two allusions to The Prisoner: firstly, a chessboard mirrors the exact game of chess from the ninth episode, known as “Checkmate”. Secondly, in Skethermoor Prison, a note is found with the message, “I am not just a code.

Fawlty Towers Easter Egg
In the northeastern part of Wyndham Village, not far from the entrance of Casterfell Woods, you will come across the Mereview Hotel. Upon a closer inspection of the hotel’s sign, you’ll notice that its design bears a striking resemblance to the logo of Fawlty Towers, even featuring an askew final letter in a similar fashion. This nod to the iconic sitcom led by John Cleese is one of many tributes to his side-splitting career, but it’s undeniably the most apparent.

Lord of the Rings Easter Egg
Deep within the verdant Casterfell Woods, you might stumble upon a decorative altar-like setup, complete with an axe lodged within it and nearby chairs. This scene evokes memories of the Council of Elrond from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. In the realm of Atomfall, Gimli managed to shatter The One Ring into two pieces. It’s possible that this event has had a significant impact on the current chaos in the Quarantine Zone.

Famous British Pubs Easter Egg

Upstairs at the Grendel’s Head, you might spot some well-known names on a sign celebrating pub darts champions. Interestingly, each of these pubs mentioned on the sign is actually a nod to other well-known, fictitious British cultural watering holes from popular culture.
The full list of pubs on this sign, and the shows that each featured in, follows:
- The Rover’s Return Inn
- Coronation Street
- The Woolpack
- Emmerdale
- The Queen Victoria
- Eastenders
- The Nag’s Head
- Only Fools And Horses
- The Green Man Inn
- The Wicker Man

Last Of The Summer Wine Easter Egg

In the eastern part of Skethermoor, you might stumble upon an unusual sight: three skeletons inside a tub that seems to have collided with a rock. At first glance, this scene may remind you of the nursery rhyme “Rub-a-Dub-Dub,” but it’s actually a nod to one of the funniest scenes from the timeless British comedy show, Last of the Summer Wine.

The Two Ronnies Easter Egg

As a devoted fan, I must say that Atomfall carries an undeniably British charm, reminiscent of none other than The Two Ronnies. In one hilarious sketch, there’s this character on a quest for “fork handles,” only to be given “four candles” by the shopkeeper. A classic instance of British humor at its finest!
In the Village Shop at Windham Village, you’ll find this timeless reference; check out the area to your left upon entering, where there are four candles and some fork handles arranged.

Monty Python Easter Egg

Without a doubt, Monty Python’s Flying Circus stands as the quintessential British comedy series of all time. Among its countless memorable sketches, none seems to resonate quite as much with both die-hard fans and casual observers as the iconic “Dead Parrot” scene.
Glance slightly to Morris’s right, towards the back-right corner of the store. There, you’ll find an unmistakable homage to that humorous drawing – a Norwegian Blue parrot, apparently deceased and as lifeless as a door, confined within a rusty enclosure. Or perhaps it’s not dead at all, simply longing for the fjords.

Excalibur Easter Egg

In the game ‘Atomfall’, there’s a distinctive melee weapon that echoes tales from ancient British folklore. You can find it by heading northeast from the Druid Camp, located in the southwest of Casterfell Woods. Once you reach the river bank on the opposite side, keep an eye out for ‘The Sword In The Stone’. It’s usually near a large Triffid enemy.
To extract the sword from the stone, you must attempt it, though you’re not fated to rule as England’s next king. The blade will shatter upon removal from the earth. Nevertheless, you’ll be equipped with a swift hand-to-hand weapon and an engaging adventure.

Goldfinger Easter Egg

The title Atomfall isn’t merely tied to classic British sci-fi and humor; it also pays homage to the world’s most iconic British spy, James Bond. In the movie Dr. No, the character Oddjob showcases his unique talents by hurling his hat with such force at a statue’s neck that it results in the statue’s head being decapitated.
Directly outside Datlow Hall, situated within Casterfell Woods, you’ll find a statue missing its head. This headless figure is positioned beyond the main gates at the front of the manor. If you look closely, you’ll notice that its detached head lies in the grass to the right – a nod to an iconic scene reminiscent of James Bond.

John Wyndham & The Triffids

In the game Atomfall, there are two nods to the renowned British science fiction author John Wyndham. The very name of Wyndham Village is a tribute to this famous sci-fi writer, and the carnivorous plants you’ll face in Druid and Infected zones are a direct homage to the Triffids from Wyndham’s classic novel The Day of the Triffids.
In Atomfall, the flora bears a striking resemblance to the menacing Triffids from the movie version of that classic British science fiction horror, serving as an intentional nod to this iconic sci-fi monster.

Doctor Who Easter Egg

Among the numerous science fiction shows and tales that Britain is famed for, none has made as significant an impact or gained as much recognition as Doctor Who. It’s hardly surprising, then, that one of the many hidden references in Atomfall pays homage to this iconic science fiction series by featuring the T.A.R.D.I.S.
In Skethermoor Prison’s vicinity when you first enter Skethermoor zone, there’s a distinctive blue Police box perched on a set of reachable cliffs. As you climb to investigate, you’ll notice that the T.A.R.D.I.S., which was initially there, vanishes with a telltale teleportation sound, leaving it inaccessible for the remainder of the game.
