‘The Rustic Villager vs. the Beast: A Tale of One Battle’
During the heated battle, Beryl inflicts damage on Zeno Grable, specifically targeting his eye. It was then that Surena stepped in to deliver the decisive strike, effectively ending the conflict. Despite being celebrated as a hero by the Guild of Explorers, he rejects their invitation to join their ranks as an adventurer.
The day after, Allucia and Curuni lead him to a blacksmith called Balder Gasp, a fellow ex-student. Upon examining Curuni’s sword condition, Beryl assists in replacing it with a Zweihänder. Meanwhile, Surena orders a blade crafted from Zeno’s claw for him. Later that night, Beryl manages to nab a thief named Mewi, who flees using magic but drops his necklace behind.
In the fifth episode of “From Rustic to Master Swordsman,” Beryl encounters Mewi once more, a surprise meeting. With a demeanor that’s tough and guarded, Mewi finds herself unable to dismiss her predicament. Instead, he tries to rebuild their connection. Yet, Beryl is reluctant to entertain his overtures.
With assistance from Allucia and Lucy, Beryl discovers that Mewi has been used by crooks for personal profit. Feeling it’s important for Mewi not to stay entangled in this situation, Beryl decides to take action against the criminal network, intending to dismantle them and free Mewi from their grip on her life.
