Benny Blanco made his 37th birthday exceptional by organizing a prom-themed party specifically for Selena Gomez, as she hadn’t been able to attend one in her childhood. During an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the music producer revealed this fact, stating that he wanted to give her the opportunity to experience a prom. So, he decided to dedicate his birthday celebration to her instead. In his own words, “Since Selena had never been to a prom before, I thought it would be fun if we could have one for my birthday.
During his high school years, Benny mentioned that he attended prom on two separate occasions. Once with a group of friends and once with a girlfriend. However, he emphasized that the most recent prom with Gomez was his most cherished experience. “My preferred prom was with my partner,” he expressed, eliciting positive reactions from the crowd. Blanco shared how Gomez seemed puzzled about the specifics. “She didn’t have a clue; she was like, ‘What should I wear? What am I supposed to do?!'” he said.
Benny explained that it seemed as though they were actually attending a high school prom. To add to the atmosphere, Blanco presented her with a corsage, following a traditional prom custom. “I bought her a corsage,” he announced with pride.
Lately, Benny and Selena were seen together at the Knicks versus Celtics game at Madison Square Garden on April 8th. The official Knicks X account shared a picture of them looking cozy, referring to them as “lovebirds.” In the image, Blanco placed his hands on Gomez’s knees while she beamed and covered her face, offering fans another peek at her marquise diamond engagement ring.
In December 2023, they officially acknowledged their romantic involvement, and in March 2025, they launched their debut collaborative album titled “I Said I Love You First.” This album chronicles their relationship’s evolution, spanning from before they crossed paths to the future they envision together.
