Ben Affleck has been working on projects outside of his role as Batman. He recently appeared with Matt Damon in the Netflix crime thriller The Rip, which became a hit in January and stayed at the top of global streaming charts for three weeks. In the film, they play Miami detectives pursuing a large shipment of cash, and reviewers have pointed out that the intensity of their performances is reminiscent of Affleck’s portrayal of Batman.

Ben Affleck is directing and starring in a new Netflix thriller called Animals, which follows a mayoral candidate whose son is kidnapped. He took over the project after Matt Damon had to leave due to his commitment to Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Gillian Anderson and Kerry Washington are also featured in the film, which is scheduled for release in late 2026.

Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot about Ben Affleck, and it’s great to see him doing so well personally. After his split from Jen, he’s really focused on himself – staying sober and throwing himself into his work with Artists Equity, the company he built with Matt Damon. From what I understand, he’s in a really good place, enjoying some peace and quiet. There was a bit of buzz about him and Brooks Nader, but apparently they’re just friends, which is nice to hear. It’s just good to see him thriving, you know?

This behind-the-scenes look from Snyder highlights how physically challenging it was to film the Batman scenes. The image really shows the dedication it took to create such a gritty and believable Gotham City on film.
