Ben Affleck has stepped ahead in his personal journey following the completion of his divorce with Jennifer Lopez. According to a source, the Academy Award recipient is currently engaging in casual dating, but his primary concentration lies in his professional endeavors and family matters.
The divorce between Affleck and Lopez was finalized on January 6, and a court in Los Angeles County confirmed their legal separation on February 21. Since then, Affleck, aged 52, has been devoting extensive hours to his work, often found at his office when not on set.
Beyond his work obligations, Affleck is very active in the lives of his children. He has three kids – Violet Anne (19), Seraphina Rose (16), and Samuel (12) – with his former wife Jennifer Garner. The report mentions that Affleck and his youngest son, Samuel, have a particularly strong relationship.
55-year-old Lopez filed for divorce on August 20, 2024, marking exactly two years since their wedding in Georgia. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason. The court records show that she asked for no alimony and wanted to legally revert her name back to Jennifer Lynn Lopez. The ex-couple plan to equally divide the profits from selling their mansion in Beverly Hills, which is still up for sale.
As Affleck dedicates himself to his work, there are numerous significant ventures ahead. His upcoming movie, titled “The Accountant 2”, is scheduled for a premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on March 8, followed by its theater release on April 25. Moreover, he has unveiled “RIP”, an action-packed thriller on Netflix, which he describes as a fusion of films like “Heat”, “Narc”, and “Training Day”. With this new phase in his life, both personally and professionally, Affleck seems resolute about continuing to advance.
