In his own words, Affleck expressed dislike towards the Batman costumes, stating that they were uncomfortable and didn’t allow for proper ventilation. He said: “I found the Batsuits unbearable. They’re sweltering, as they don’t provide adequate airflow.
He additionally pointed out that the design of the suits is carefully tailored to meet specific standards, and little consideration is given to the aspect of the suit that caters to a person’s needs or comfort.
In simpler terms, Ben Affleck described his experience as Batman by saying, “It’s like you suddenly start perspiring a lot. I tend to sweat easily, if you catch my drift? In that suit, it would be like an endless stream of water flowing from me.
In a candid remark, the actor from Dazed and Confused admitted that filming scenes in the suit was challenging due to its intensity, making him feel overheated and far from heroic. Ben Affleck further explained, “It leaves you instantly fatigued and incredibly sweaty.” With a hint of humor, he speculated that Christian Bale or Rob Pattinson might have handled the role more effectively.
