Bella Ramsey hasn’t ruled out joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they’ve indicated they’re still open to the possibility.
The actor, famous for his work in shows like Game of Thrones and The Last of Us, has said again that he’d like to play Spider-Man.
In an interview with Variety at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, Ramsey reiterated their continued interest in the role, should it become available. They emphasized that their position hasn’t shifted since they first expressed interest last year.

I first heard about Ramsey’s thoughts on Marvel when he chatted with Marc Malkin from Variety at the HBO Emmy nominees party last summer. It was a quick interview, but his comments really stuck with me.
They were asked if they’d talked to their “The Last of Us” co-star, Pedro Pascal, about him joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially since he’d recently been cast as Reed Richards in “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” Ramsey jokingly suggested they themselves could play Spider-Man.
Everyone agreed Tom Holland has been a fantastic Spider-Man, but Ramsey hinted that a new superhero might be needed. “Tom Holland did really well,” Ramsey explained, “so maybe it’s time they create a new hero for me to play.”
Ramsey recently discovered Marvel movies, starting with an Andrew Garfield Spider-Man film they watched just a few months before speaking with us. They described watching a Marvel movie for the first time as “incredible” and said they “loved it.”
Look, Marvel hasn’t said anything official yet, but after hearing Ramsey talk, it’s clear they’re seriously considering a project with Pedro Pascal! They even playfully suggested a fun idea – a heist movie where we’d get to see them pulling off a bank robbery together. Honestly, that sounds amazing and totally different from anything we’ve seen from Marvel so far. I’m definitely intrigued!
