Battlefield 6 has had an incredible launch, selling over seven million copies in just three days – a new record for the series! The game also achieved the highest number of players ever at one time for a Battlefield title, with a total of 172 million matches played on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S during its first weekend.
“We really want to thank our players first,” said Byron Beede, the game’s manager. “Battlefield 6 was made with our fans in mind. We listened to player feedback throughout the entire process – from the very first idea, through features like Battlefield Labs, and even during the hugely successful Open Beta. We shared a single goal with our players: to create the best Battlefield game possible. And we’re not stopping here – our first update with new content arrives in just 12 days.”
Vince Zampella, executive vice president, shared his thanks, saying they don’t take this launch for granted. He expressed sincere gratitude to both the Battlefield Studios team and the game’s dedicated community for their support. He also thanked players for joining them for the launch of Battlefield 6 and promised more content is on the way in the coming weeks.
The first season of Battlefield 6 will add new maps and content to the game. Today, updates were released for Conquest mode and the Manhattan Bridge to fix some problems.
