Battlefield 6 server capacity increase is on the way as queues get longer

As a die-hard Battlefield fan, I can’t contain my excitement for Battlefield 6! The anticipation around this game is through the roof, but as we gamers know, popularity often comes with its own set of challenges. In this case, it’s long wait times in the servers. Even before the official servers went live, dedicated players like me were already logged in, eager to be among the first to dive into the action. The sheer number of users trying to jump into matches has left the servers overwhelmed, and it’s been a bit of a struggle to find a spot in a game – even though we’re still a few years away from the official open beta on August 9, 2025. It’s a small price to pay for the promise of an epic gaming experience!

It’s great news that EA is acting promptly: “Our team is currently expanding server capacity to minimize your wait time in the queue. Thank you for your understanding while we strive to get you into the game as quickly as possible. We can’t wait to witness your Battlefield 6 experience and value your patience!

Beforehand, arrangements were set in place by EA, anticipating the need for queues to handle the initial rush. Yet, it seems that unexpectedly high demand took the developers by surprise as they had initially estimated “the effect would be negligible” before the servers went live.

The initial part of the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S beta for Battlefield 6 commenced today. Those who pre-ordered the Phantom Edition, were former testers, or won codes from giveaways are eligible to join right away. However, servers will be accessible to everyone in full by Saturday.
