Battlefield 6 progression will receive a speed boost in coming update

EA has announced that an upcoming update to Battlefield 6 will speed up how quickly players progress and unlock weapon attachments. This change addresses player feedback about the time it takes to unlock these items, and is a top priority for the developers, alongside fixing bugs and addressing map size concerns.

To tackle the problem, the developers will implement the following measures:

  • The XP gained from match completion and the daily bonus are being increased by 10% and 40% respectively.
  • The XP needed to unlock the first 20 attachment ranks is being reduced, so you’ll start earning useful attachments almost twice as fast.
  • The assignments that required career ranks 20, 23, and 26 to begin will now require career ranks 10, 15, and 20, respectively.

DICE is also working on improving the challenges, but making and testing these updates will take some additional time before they can be released.

The developers announced they’re taking steps to fight against bot farms, as many servers created for this purpose are making it hard to find legitimate custom games.

The team has recognized problems with visibility, weapon spread, and vehicles not appearing as expected. They’ll share more information about how they plan to fix these issues once they’ve decided on the best approach.

Battlefield 6 quickly became a hit, selling over seven million copies in just three days. Players can look forward to the Season 1 update, which will add a bunch of new content soon.
