Batman Producer Michael Uslan Shuts Down SnyderVerse Claims?

James Gunn fans might think they scored a win — or did they?

Someone recently mentioned my reporting on the possible return of the ‘SnyderVerse’ in a comment on a Facebook post by Michael Uslan, who has produced Batman movies for a long time.

A fan expressed concern about rumors that Zack Snyder is partnering with Saudi Arabia to create his own cinematic universe, potentially competing with James Gunn’s DC Universe. They hope the reports are just unfounded gossip.

Uslan fired back: “‘Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.’ — Abraham Lincoln, 1864.”

Uslan’s Long History With DC

Uslan has been tied to DC for decades.

Beginning in 1975, he wrote comics for the company and later produced the 1982 film Swamp Thing. He’s been a producer on every Batman movie since the 1989 film starring Michael Keaton and Tim Burton, as well as both Joker films and numerous DC animated projects.

Uslan Used the Same Line on Batman Beyond Rumors

Interestingly, Uslan gave the same answer when people started talking about a possible Batman Beyond movie starring Michael Keaton.

Following the release of The Flash, Kevin Smith stated that if the film had been a box office success, Michael Keaton likely would have reprised his role as Batman in Batman Beyond.

Smith clarified that he didn’t learn about the situation from the source we mentioned. Instead, he said it was Uslan’s son who shared the information with him at the premiere of The Flash.

What I’ve Been Told About The Flash Ending & The SnyderVerse

So, from what I understand, the original plan for The Flash movie was way bigger than what we got. Apparently, they intended it to kick off a whole Batman multiverse – bringing back not just Ben Affleck as Batman, but also Henry Cavill as Superman, and even Michael Keaton potentially reprising his role in a *Batman Beyondtype situation. It sounds like they were aiming for a huge connected universe!

I heard that Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav scrapped the original DC plans and asked James Gunn to restart the DC Universe using less expensive actors and creators.

Now, with the impending sale of WBD, I’m hearing the SnyderVerse is back in play.

I learned about Neal Uslan’s Stan Lee comic from my sources before anyone else, and that information was officially confirmed several months later.

I’ll have more tomorrow for Thanksgiving.
