As a seasoned adventurer who has battled countless fiends and foes, I can confidently say that Wild Dog Luvencia is a force to be reckoned with! With her high damage output, impressive hit count, and versatile range, she’s quickly become one of my go-to dark attackers for any challenge.
I remember the days when I relied on Empress Rubia or GC.Rafina for defense, but Wild Dog Luvencia has proven to be a more than capable replacement. Her Deal Snatcher costume can snag multiple enemies, and her Wild Dog costume serves as an effective finisher in any situation.
But let’s not forget about the bonus damage! While it may seem like a small difference (from 800% to 880% ex chain), I’ve found that every bit counts when you’re trying to rank high scores or take down those pesky light bosses in fiend hunts.
However, as someone who’s been around the block a few times, I’d be remiss not to mention that timing can be tricky when it comes to maximizing Luvencia’s bonus damage. It’s not always easy to coordinate her skill with other teammates like SE.Rafina or CNA.Rafina, but it’s definitely worth the effort if you’re looking for that extra edge.
All in all, Wild Dog Luvencia is a fantastic addition to any adventurer’s arsenal, and I can’t wait to see what other challenges she helps me conquer in the coming year. Just remember, always keep your wits about you and watch out for those sneaky fiends! May your pulls be plentiful and your adventures successful in 2025!
Oh, and don’t forget to save some resources for when Luvencia’s birthday comes around again… She’ll need a nice present to keep her purring happily!

How does Luvencia’s skill work?
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve encountered countless characters, each with their unique abilities and complexities. However, Luvencia stands out from the crowd due to her seemingly intricate skill set. But fear not, for beneath that veneer of complexity lies a simplicity that’s surprisingly straightforward.
In essence, when fully upgraded to level 5, Luvencia has the potential to dish out either 800% or 880% damage (excluding chain effects). The catch? Whether you get the extra 80% damage depends on which characters you’ve utilized prior to Luvencia.
This little gem of a character adds an exciting layer of strategy to gameplay, making each decision count and keeping us players on our toes. It’s always a thrill to see the damage numbers soar when Luvencia comes into play!
In battle, Luvencia strikes eight times. However, when the stacked chains on an enemy’s health are divisible by three, she inflicts additional damage.
If you activate Luvencia with no hits on the opponents, she’ll deal extra damage with her ability at the 3rd and 6th chain levels. At a +5 full potential, this amounts to an impressive 800% base damage (not including additional chain damage). It’s important to note that Luvencia’s skill has 8 hits, so the impact from chains is substantial: Including chain damage (when no hits are applied to opponents), her total skill damage becomes a powerful 1080%.
The damage breakdown is below:
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
80% | 80% | 160% | 80% | 80% | 160% | 80% | 80% |
If you manage to land one or two attacks against the opponent before using Luvencia, her bonus damage will be tripled, not doubled. This means she could deal up to 3 times the regular damage. At its maximum potential, this translates to a total of approximately 880% damage (excluding chain damage).
2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
80% | 160% | 780% | 80% | 160% | 80% | 80% | 160% |
3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 |
160% | 80% | 780% | 160% | 80% | 80% | 160% | 80% |
If you apply hits to Luvencia before activating her, it doesn’t matter if the number of hits is 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, or any other number that isn’t a multiple of 3 and is greater than zero. In such cases, she will deal bonus damage three times instead of the usual two times.
Maximizing the bonus damage
It might be challenging to fully leverage Luvencia’s bonus damage at the moment, as there aren’t many Area of Effect (AOE) abilities that typically work well within a physical team featuring Luvencia.
Example: GC.Rafina is consistently part of physical teams, yet her 3-strike ability, regrettably, can be divided by 3.
Or simply: GC.Rafina often plays on physical teams, but her skill requires striking three times, which unfortunately results in a division of 3.
As someone who has spent years working alongside various team members in high-pressure situations, I can confidently say that Eleaneer is an ideal partner for Luvencia on a dark physical team. With three hits on both her costumes, she brings a level of versatility and adaptability to the group that I’ve found invaluable in tough scenarios. Her ability to switch between outfits seamlessly, each with its unique strengths, allows us to tailor our strategy to the specific challenges we face. In my experience, this kind of versatility can make all the difference in a tight spot.
It might seem that Celia is an ideal choice for boosting Luvencia’s damage, given that her Curse costume delivers 7 hits and her Descendant costume delivers 5 hits – neither of which are divisible by 3. However, when you consider using both Celia and Luvencia together, it’s highly likely that you will also be employing PWB.Refi to optimize the double chain count buff. When MB.Celia and PWB.Refi work in tandem, their combined effects triple the number of hits for Celia’s next attack: for example, the buffed Curse costume deals 21 hits and the buffed Descendant costume deals 15 hits. Since both these numbers are divisible by 3, combining PWB.Refi, Celia, and Luvencia will not help Luvencia reach her maximum bonus damage potential.
While it’s feasible to incorporate diverse units in your team that don’t synergize with Luvencia, it’s usually not beneficial to construct a suboptimal team for the slight boost in damage from Luvencia. At present, the most effective (though less than ideal) method to activate Luvencia’s bonus damage is likely through SE.Rafina or CNA.Rafina. Unfortunately, these Rafina costumes don’t offer full coverage over Luvencia’s AOE, but they are still useful since you would be including GC.Rafina in your team anyway.
Luvencia for PVE
As a fan, I can’t help but sing the praises of Luvencia! She truly shines when it comes to dishing out powerful dark damage and maintaining a high hit count. Among all dark attackers, her damage is unrivaled, and this becomes even more apparent once you factor in her impressive 100% base crit damage. In most fiend hunts and guild raids against light bosses, Luvencia’s Wild Dog form is indispensable if you want to secure top scores.
She excels at the game Last Night due to her exceptionally long chain length. However, it’s important to place her strategically and keep track of the stacked chains to maximize the benefit of the third bonus hit.
With its high area-of-effect (AOE) strike count, Luvencia isn’t just good at boosting damage for your additional attackers; it’s quite effective at that. Currently, the only dark physical attacker who can effectively team up with Luvencia is Eleaneer.
Luvencia for PVP
Since Luvencia now boasts a complete costume set (Deal Snatcher and Wild Dog), she has proven to be a strong contender in PVP defensive battles. Despite her costumes being somewhat pricey, Deal Snatcher’s wide-area spreading ability can trap numerous opponents effectively, while Wild Dog functions efficiently as a finisher. Consequently, Luvencia has emerged as a viable alternative to Empress Rubia for defensive squads. However, it appears that Empress Rubia may still hold an advantage due to her 45% defense reduction and elemental superiority against Lecliss in the current scenario.
Conclusion
Choosing Wild Dog Luvencia as your pick offers significant power, a high number of successful hits, and an impressive range, making her an excellent choice. While her skill might appear intricate at first glance, it essentially increases her damage output (from 800% to 880% during extended combos) when utilized effectively. However, unless your goal is achieving top-tier scores, the difference in bonus damage may not be substantial, and you’ll rarely need to worry about strategizing around this aspect when playing her.
Wild Dog Luvencia is not limited.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year, and happy pulls in 2025!
