+ Closes the skill duration gap on Track and Field Levia (a popular magic buffer)
+ Good damage and range
+ New character usually means more costumes coming soon
Currently, her abilities are somewhat restricted as she only has one outfit, though it’s likely she’ll gain access to more in the future.
- The debuff extension effect alone is not quite strong enough yet to justify occupying a team slot
- Doesn’t stack chains well
Palette‘s stats

| Lv 100 base stats | Lv 100 awakened stats |
Palette is a strong attacker with stats comparable to Schera. Both have 385 base Magic Attack and 50% critical damage. Palette has 1617 base HP with 10% Magic Resistance, slightly less than Schera’s 1638 HP. While their base stats are similar, Schera benefits greatly from her numerous costumes, which provide additional stat boosts through costume bonding.
Right now, Palette only has one outfit, but the developers have said she’ll get stronger as they release more. Each new outfit will unlock extra stats that boost her abilities – it’s like a bonding system with her costumes!
Palette for PVE
Palette is a powerful magic user who specializes in dark magic. What makes them special is their ability to make enemy debuffs (like weakness, stat decreases, or silence, and damage-over-time effects such as burn or poison) last for two extra turns – essentially extending their duration by one of your turns. This is especially helpful in longer battles like fiend hunts and guild raids.
Currently, few characters who can inflict negative status effects work well with the Palette system. For instance:
- The main costume that would be played with Palette is Track and Field Levia: Levia’s AOE magic vulnerability lasts 4 turns, but has a 5 turn cooldown. Palette closes the gap on her debuff duration.
- Sonya can also work with Palette. By extending the duration of Shadowed Dream Sonya, it’s possible to have both her dark vulnerability and normal vulnerability active debuffs at the same time. However Palette has poor synergy with LPG Sonya, since Palette’s single hit skill only triggers Nightmare once.
- Other debuffers have less synergy with Palette. For example, Rubia benefits from the duration extension to her DOT and Maid Bikini DOT vulnerability debuff, but Rubia (fire physical) otherwise doesn’t have any synergy with Palette (dark magic).
- Most stat reduction debuffs (e.g. Lovely Lady Elise) can already stay up continuously without needing Palette’s extension effect.
Palette is a strong character, even though not many costumes currently require the debuff extension effect. Her main strength lies in extending debuffs applied by enemies, not player-applied ones.
A great example of this benefit is during guild raids. Your mecha companion, Lancelot, has a special ability called “Redeeming Strike” that weakens the boss and makes them much more vulnerable for two turns – effectively, one player’s turn. Normally, you use this to get one powerful attack turn. However, we’ve found that using Palette extends the vulnerability period from Redeeming Strike, giving you two full turns to deal massive damage. Just keep in mind that the ‘break’ effect itself can’t be extended – only the vulnerability.

Palette is also very effective in fiend hunts, especially against enemies that temporarily weaken themselves with certain abilities.
Besides taking on fiends and joining guild raids, Palette is a powerful attacker who excels at hitting multiple enemies at once. Her ability to deal 800% damage in a wide area is very effective for completing the main story, and because she uses dark-type attacks, no enemy can resist her. When facing more challenging enemies, Palette can work well with Fiend Scholar Olstein to consistently silence them in an area.
Palette for PVP
Palette deals significant damage – 800% in a large area – and only costs 3 SP, making her effective in early-level PvP. However, her power decreases as players advance. A key weakness in Mirror Wars is her lack of alternative costumes, meaning she can’t utilize special skills during her second turn.
Palette’s debuff extension doesn’t really matter in player-versus-player battles because those fights usually end fast.
Palette is often compared to Beach Vacation Eclipse, which deals a lot of dark magic damage (1200%) in a wide area for a cost of 3 SP. While Beach Vacation Eclipse generally does more damage than Palette, and outperforms other powerful costumes in terms of follow-up turns, making it arguably better for player-versus-player (PVP) battles, it isn’t commonly used by high-ranking players in Mirror Wars or Golden Colosseum.
Palette’s exclusive gear
Olivier’s special weapon boosts your magical attack power. While it’s a nice addition, remember that unique items like this are more of a bonus than a necessity. You only really need them if you’re striving for the highest scores in challenging hunts and guild raids.
Okay, so this is Palette’s very first outfit, which basically means another one is definitely on the way! That’s good news because it’ll give us another shot at getting her special gear. Honestly, there’s no need to rush and spend all our tickets on this current banner – we can wait for the next one. I’m holding onto mine for now!
Conclusion
Supporting Palette is a great way to invest in the future of your team. Palette has a special ability: it can make negative effects (debuffs) last longer. This is especially powerful in Guild Raids, where it can extend the 200% vulnerability from Redeeming Strike for an extra turn! It’s also very effective against enemies that briefly make themselves vulnerable.
She’s currently quite promising, but isn’t fully realizing her power yet. This is mainly because she only has one outfit currently, and there aren’t enough teammates with abilities that benefit from extending debuff durations. I expect she’ll become a top pick for dark teams once her second costume is available.
