+ The first supporter that buffs high hit count teams
+ Buff stays up continuously with no downtime (after unlocking potential)
+ Works in Last Night
As more costumes for Liberta are unveiled, it’s highly probable that she will grow in strength, considering her base costume is still forthcoming.
- Limited in the kinds of teams she can support, and difficult to use for beginners
- Healing power is relatively low (even with potential upgrade)
- Not useful in PVP
Liberta for PVE
Following the launch of Beach Angel Teresse (enhancing teams with a lower number of hits), this summer brought us our inaugural supporter character who boosts teams with a higher number of attacks.
As a devoted fan, I’d like to share some insights about two amazing characters: Onsen Manager Liberta and Beach Angel Teresse. While Teresse offers a whopping 200% damage amplification, it seems that Liberta, at full potential, delivers a slightly lower 130%, but over six uninterrupted turns.
Initially, it might appear that Teresse has the upper hand. However, for teams with low hit counts, Teresse may not reach her full potential due to missing out on high chain damage multipliers. On the other hand, when you factor in the chain damage, high-chain Liberta teams tend to surpass the damage output of lower-chain Teresse teams. In essence, both are fantastic, but the right choice depends on your team composition and strategy.
Team building with Liberta
In simpler terms, Liberta increases damage against enemies when you have accumulated 10 or more chains. For new players, building up these 10 chains before launching an attack can be challenging. However, experienced players find it relatively easy with the right configuration. PWB.Refi is an ideal partner for Liberta since Refi doubles basic chain stacks. With PWB.Refi and any Celia costume (particularly MB.Celia), you’ll effortlessly meet Liberta’s chain requirements, making the combination of Refi + Celia + Liberta a popular choice for tough PVE battles in the near future.
The typical team build for running Liberta will be:
- Liberta (damage amplifier)
- Refi (property damage + chain buff)
- H.Lathel / B.Helena (ATK/M.ATK buff)
- Celia / Hikage / Zenith etc (chain stacker, needed for Liberta’s buff to activate)
- Main attacker
To inflict maximum damage, it’s advantageous to construct a team that employs various types of buffs, as different type buffs combine with each other, while the same type buffs merely accumulate (for more details, check out the FAQs). Liberta’s ability enhances enemy damage, which accumulates in addition to other enemy amplification buffs such as TF.Levia and GC.Rafina. Therefore, Liberta is meant to fill the role of either TF.Levia or GC.Rafina in your team. In most instances, Liberta performs better, but she does have some trade-offs: on one hand, Liberta’s amplification buff is stronger and continuous (unlike TF.Levia and GC.Rafina who only provide their buff 2 out of every 3 player turns). On the other hand, TF.Levia and GC.Rafina also deal damage and accumulate chain stacks by attacking, while Liberta does not.
PVE game modes
Due to Liberta’s need for a particular setup, she is effective in any PVE fights that allow you to assemble a squad with a high number of hits (similar to the one detailed previously).
From my perspective as a fan, based on the Preview PV, Liberta operates more as a team booster instead of an adversary debilitator. This makes her a fantastic choice for Last Night. Given that 10 chains can be easily established among the initial attackers, she significantly increases your overall score.
In the Tower of Pride game, Liberta isn’t ideal for achieving high scores due to the fact that teams with a high number of hits won’t be able to secure top scores there.
As a gamer in Tower of Salvation, I’ve noticed that Liberta has made high hit count builds more feasible. However, these high hit count builds come with a higher risk factor. The reason being, they demand the perfect combination of costumes and relics. Unlike low hit count builds that work effectively most of the time, provided you steer clear of stacking chain relics. For now, low hit count teams are still considered more reliable due to their consistency.
Liberta for PVP
In short, Liberta isn’t suitable for Player vs Player (PvP) combat. I wouldn’t recommend trying it out. Maintaining over ten chain streaks in a PvP scenario is quite challenging.
Exclusive Gear
Liberta gains extra Health Points (HP) only from her unique equipment. This boosts her ability to endure, but doesn’t enhance her capacity to boost power. Given that survivability is often less crucial even in advanced game stages, acquiring her exclusive gear isn’t generally considered a priority because it offers limited additional value.
Conclusion
For seasoned gamers, most offensive buffers are essential items, and Liberta is no different. Although she currently provides a somewhat modest increase in damage compared to GC.Rafina and TF.Levia, it’s still very much beneficial to have her as she will undoubtedly grow stronger with the release of additional Liberta costumes.
For newcomers, it might be challenging to utilize her effectively until you’ve amassed a team of at least ten characters to chain together prior to your primary attacker. At present, she may not significantly boost your account progression, but she is an excellent value choice and signifies a long-term investment.
