+ Schera is the best buff remover, with all her costumes able to remove buffs
Even though she’s one of the early costumes introduced in the narrative, her current effectiveness in terms of damage output and usefulness remains strong.
- She is not the strongest water attacker
- 3-tile range is useful, but limited
Schera for PVE
In the narrative of Brown Dust 2, Schera is a significant character, and among the initial five-star outfits you’ll come across in Story Mode, hers is one of them.
In numerous gacha games, the initial story characters tend to lose their relevance as players advance, but not Schera from Brown Dust 2. Even though she was among the early story mode costumes, her effectiveness in terms of damage output and utility remains strong today. This underscores the well-balanced game design and gradual power growth in Brown Dust 2.
Schera inflicts powerful damage of 3 times 225%, and boasts high Multi-Attack stats, making her a formidable attacker. She’s also a crucial unit in Player vs Environment (PVE) scenarios for eliminating buffs such as taunts, energy guards, counters, and more. Furthermore, her single target Area of Effect (AOE) is frequently handy for managing typical enemy configurations.
When it comes to raw damage, there are currently more potent options available with characters like Sylvia (who can boost herself using her costumes in combination), Yumi (who inflicts escalating burn damage over time), and Beach Vacation Morphea (who summons two units per turn that deal 700% damage each). Consequently, Schera is unlikely to be part of your core team for high-level demon hunts and guild raids in the end game.
Schera for PVP
Among the top-tier characters for Player versus Player combat, Schera stands out due to her capacity to dish out significant damage while persistently nullifying opponents’ boosts.
As a devoted strategist in the world of attack teams, I can’t help but sing praises for PP.Schera and PMB.Eleaneer, who are renowned for their prowess in taking down Granhildr. However, Eleaneer stands out with just one buff removal costume, making him less effective against powerful enemy buffers like Lecliss, Seir, and RH.Rou on the following turn.
Schera, on the other hand, is a beacon of hope, as she can strip buffs using all her costumes, ensuring that buffs are removed every single turn. This consistent ability to remove buffs makes Schera an unparalleled choice for PVP, leaving no room for doubt in my mind about her superiority in this role.
At present, Schera owns four costumes that need five turns to recharge. This means if you equip any three of these costumes, you’ll have a full costume rotation without any gaps between changes.
Lapis Witch Schera is a smart pick due to her potent silence ability in Player vs Player battles: it prevents opponents from employing skills, which can tilt the game in your favor. You can strategically deploy Lapis Witch Schera either as a secondary outfit (following PP.Schera) for offensive maneuvers, or as an initial costume for defensive stands.
Exclusive gear
Schera’s exclusive gear gives her additional M.ATK stats.
Although boosting M.ATK is generally beneficial, using Schera’s unique equipment isn’t advisable as she’s not ranked among the top-tier attackers for endgame content. Consequently, the extra stats might not significantly improve your scores.
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that Schera boasts an impressive collection of four unique costumes! This variety not only adds to the fun but also increases the likelihood of obtaining her specialized banners. More banners equate to more opportunities to snag her exclusive equipment exclusively found on those banners. After all, duplicates of unique weapons are redundant in my collection.
Conclusion
Character Schera, the Lapislazuli Witch, showcases strong offensive prowess and versatility, yet her area-of-effect (AOE) capabilities are somewhat restricted, making her less ideal for top-tier PVE content in the endgame. However, in Player versus Player (PVP) matches, Schera continues to dominate, with her move Pool Party Schera transitioning into Lapis Witch Schera on the next turn being a frequently used opening strategy.
Because players receive a complimentary version of Lapis Witch Schera at the onset of the tale, it’s likely that everyone has one in their inventory already. It might not be advisable to invest more unless you’ve got an advanced Pool Party Schera and wish to fully upgrade your Lapis Witch Schera to finish your PVP roster.
