+ One of the best costumes for single target chain stacking (12 hits!)
+ Ridiculously high single target damage with no cooldown
+ Fantastic for Last Night
+ Not just a Hikage water clone: non-limited means more costumes are likely
- Only good for single target damage
- Weak to counterattack skills
Currently, she doesn’t offer much fresh content for players who are already using Hikage. However, this is set to change in the days to come.
Wilhelmina for PvE
Wilhelmina is a new character who deals ridiculously high damage to single targets.
Her standout characteristic is that she delivers 12 strikes, matching Hikage’s (maximum) for the most hits in the game. To put it into perspective, a high hit count skill would already be 5 hits. Apart from her, only a few other characters possess costume skills capable of dealing more than 5 hits: Robin Hood Zenith, who strikes a single target 6 times, Empress of the Ocean Rubia, who hits an area 6 times, Curse Celia, who strikes an area 7 times, and Luvencia, whose costumes deliver 8 hits.
The process of linking successive attacks, or chain stacking, significantly boosts damage output. For every chained attack, you receive a 10% increase in damage for the subsequent hit. This means that Wilhelmina significantly intensifies damage dealt towards the target. If Wilhelmina initiates the battle, the following ally’s attack will inflict an additional 120% bonus damage due to chain stacks. With PWB.Refi, who doubles chain stacks, Wilhelmina increases the next character’s bonus damage to a whopping 240%. In essence, she excels at increasing damage against solitary enemy targets.
Moreover, Wilhelmina’s own damage is extraordinarily high. At her maximum potential of +5, Wilhelmina inflicts 12 times 95% damage, which translates to approximately 17.67 times the original damage (considering she initiates the chain damage).
As a dedicated enthusiast, I must say this power level blows my mind! It’s not just higher, but it towers significantly over Hikage’s impressive 12×90%, which translates to an astonishing 1,674% damage output.
At first glance, Wilhelmina appears to be very similar to Hikage, almost like a carbon copy. However, the key difference between them lies in their limitations – or rather, Wilhelmina lacks them. Being an unlimited character, she has a higher chance of receiving new costumes in upcoming updates, which could potentially boost her power even more.
PvE Game Modes
In the game “Last Night,” Wilhelmina, with her exceptionally high hit count, is an ideal character due to her ability to boost damage through chain stacking. For players yet to surpass the 110 million damage threshold, simply incorporating a single copy of Wilhelmina with PWB.Refi can substantially enhance your overall damage output.
I’ve found Wilhelmina to be an absolute powerhouse when it comes to dishing out heavy single-target damage in combat scenarios. However, it’s worth noting that she lacks the ability to unleash area of effect (AOE) damage, which can be a bit limiting when you’re trying to clear mobs or tackle fiends with multiple weak spots. As a fan, I’m always looking for ways to optimize my team composition!
Wilhelmina for PvP
Since Hikage hasn’t had much experience in competitive Player vs. Player battles so far, it seems doubtful that Wilhelmina will see any competitive play either. Despite her powerful single target attack, the three Spirit Points she requires might be too expensive for the level of impact she provides.
Furthermore, among the most frequently used tanks in Player vs Player (PVP) battles is Lecliss. Wilhelmina faces difficulties against Lecliss because of their unfavorable type match-up, and she often finds herself caught off guard by Android Queen Lecliss’s retaliations, akin to Leeroy Jenkins blundering headlong into danger.
Wilhelmina’s Exclusive Gear
Similar to many other assailants, Wilhelmina gains an advantage from the enhanced stats on her unique equipment, but she can still perform effectively even without these bonuses. Given that Wilhelmina’s applications are somewhat specialized (effective against individual targets only), it is not advisable to acquire her exclusive gear if your goal isn’t focused on achieving top PVE scores.
Conclusion
As a devoted fan, I can confidently express that numerous fellow enthusiasts, including myself, would undeniably root for Wilhelmina, not just for her skill or prowess, but primarily for the unparalleled artistry she brings to the table.
As a devoted fan, I’d highly recommend adding at least one Wilhelmina to your collection, even if you don’t have Hikage yet. She boasts an impressive 12 hits across all costume levels. The 12-hit combo not only significantly boosts your Last Night scores but also aids in managing tough single target adversaries. Obtaining additional copies primarily enhances her own damage output, while upgrading to +4 eliminates her cooldown entirely!
If you currently possess Hikage, Wilhelmina may not significantly enhance your team at this moment. She only offers slightly higher damage output and water type abilities. At present, she doesn’t seem to add much novelty to your roster. However, the true advantage of owning Wilhelmina lies in her potential for future growth, as more costumes become available for her.
