+ Very high damage for low-chain teams
+ Unique AOE
+ Both of Eris’s costumes are good
+ Even with +0, you can get easy Tower of Pride Floor 1 perfect clears
Because this costume is designed for a powerful, attacking playstyle and is limited-time only, you’ll need to invest resources quickly to maximize its offensive capabilities.
Her abilities restrict which team setups work effectively. For example, it’s hard to build strong teams around her using characters like Zenith or Celia.
- Limited collab costume, which means she is unlikely to get stronger in the future.
Eris for PVE
Even though Eris’s costume came out over a year ago, it’s still powerful and effective compared to current options.
Okay, so I’ve been checking out Eris, and at max potential, she’s *insanely* powerful! If she lands a hit while her chain is at 7 or lower, she does a whopping 1100% damage. That’s seriously up there with some of the newest, strongest costumes out there – I’m talking about power levels similar to Darian, who does 1300% to the main target and 900% to everyone else. It’s a really impressive boost!
If she lands a hit that creates a combo of 8 or more, her damage will be 650%. While still decent, this is significantly lower than her maximum damage output of 1100%.
Team building for end game content
Eris is a powerful goddess, but her abilities work best with specific team compositions and against certain types of enemies.
Eris performs best in teams that focus on dealing damage with fewer attacks. Teresse, especially when equipped with Beach Angel and Medical Club, is a great teammate. Beach Angel Teresse significantly boosts damage when enemies have 5 or fewer chains on them.
However, the fact that she can’t benefit from high chain stacks is a big limitation.
Eris doesn’t work well with several commonly used chain stacking characters, including Wilhelmina, Celia, and Zenith. She also lacks synergy with Liberta, as she can’t effectively utilize the benefits of Onsen Liberta’s skill. Similarly, Eris doesn’t combine well with the buff provided by Pure White Bride Refi.
Eris isn’t very effective against bosses that benefit from building up long chains of attacks. Many bosses have special abilities that activate when a certain number of chains are stacked, and some even become stronger with more chains. Eris-based teams struggle to take advantage of these mechanics.
The Fire element already has many powerful attackers like Liatris, Rubia, Levia, and Loen, creating tough competition for Eris. This means Eris will be really useful in certain situations – like fiend hunts or guild raids where smaller teams are helpful – but she won’t always be the top choice.
Game modes
Eris is particularly effective for beating Tower of Pride Floor 1 because of her ability to deal a lot of damage with each attack. Using her alongside Diana, Lathel, and a well-equipped Eris (even at +0, as an Esteemed Adventurer), you can reliably achieve a perfect clear on that floor.
Eris performs well in most PvE combat, although landing her area-of-effect attacks can be a little challenging at times.
Eris for PVP
Since her chain stack limitation is rarely an issue in PVP, Eris can reliably deal high damage.
Eris is a powerful attacker with three skill points, making her effective in lower-level player-versus-player (PVP) matches. However, she’s rarely used in higher ranks (Diamond and above) because other characters offer more value for their cost.
Eris’s exclusive weapon
Before you invest in Eris, it’s crucial to know that the amount of her special equipment is limited.
To get the most attack power out of Eris, you need to level her up to +5 and get her special gear before the limited-time offer ends. This gear boosts her attack by 45%, and if you don’t get it during the limited banner, you might not have another chance to increase her power like that.
Using top-tier equipment is generally a luxury, because it costs a lot of resources for only a small increase in your damage output.
Conclusion
Eris is a powerful attacker who can compete with even the newest, strongest characters like Darian. Her damage output of 1100% is excellent. However, she struggles to build long attack chains, which means she doesn’t work well with certain popular support characters like Onsen Liberta and PWB Refi. She also isn’t very effective against bosses that benefit from long attack chains.
Eris is a special character available for a limited time, so fully powering her up requires a significant investment of resources quickly. While both of her outfits are decent, it’s generally not worth using valuable in-game currency on older characters like her, especially since they might become less powerful over time unless you’re a dedicated fan of Mushoku Tensei.
Limited collaboration characters have a higher chance of becoming less useful over time because they probably won’t receive updates or new outfits to boost their power.
