The “Forged in Star-Stuff” mission by Avowed is just one of several optional tasks available in the realm known as the Living Lands. Let me guide you on how to finish this quest.
In the vast expanse of the Living Lands, you can find the “Forged in Star-Stuff” mission from Avowed. Here are the steps to complete it.
As I tread through the Living Lands in Avowed, a unique side quest titled “Forged in Star-Stuff” catches my eye. Unlike most quests, this one remains unattainable until I unlock the final region within the game. It’s straightforward enough and shares some commonalities with other quests you’ll encounter during your journey, but its completion is tied to a significant milestone in the game.
As an avid gamer, embarking on the quest known as “Forged in Star-Stuff” in Avowed is an exciting venture for me. Instead of seeking starmetals for someone else, I’m on a mission to gather these unique metals hidden across various game maps. The twist? There’s no clear marker guiding me to these elusive resources. In this article, we’ll delve into how you can successfully complete the “Forged in Star-Stuff” quest in Avowed.
How To Complete The Forged in Star-Stuff Quest in Avowed
To embark on your journey, initially, you’ll need to secure a piece of starmetal. There’s one piece of starmetal scattered across each area within the game. Locate one and the following task will become available. Be aware that not every blacksmith can forge weapons with this starmetal; in fact, only one character can, and he goes by Forgemaster Dela, residing in Solace Keep. Solace Keep is found in the Galawain’s Tusk region within Avowed.
Upon arriving at Solace Keep, descend the stairs where you’ll encounter Forgemaster Dela. Hand him the starmetal, and he’ll offer to craft either a sword or an Arquebus (or both if you have all the starmetals). With the first two starmetals, you can create the Meteor Blade and Moonstrike Arquebus. The remaining two starmetals are used to enhance both weapons, transforming them into Ondra’s Offense and Heavenstrike respectively after enhancement.
Dawnshore Starmetal Fragment
In the opening stages of the game, you’ll discover the initial Starmetal Fragment hidden within the Godless Altar, located at Dawnshore – the very first area you’ll traverse. To uncover this relic, make your way to the southeastern part of the region where a bridge takes you to the Emerald Stairs. From there, proceed towards the eastern side of Paradis. You’ll spot a stone arch and what appears to be a ceremonial site. Move past the arc, engage in battles with enemies along the way, and upon their defeat, the first starmetal fragment will be waiting for you on the Altar.
Emerald Stair Starmetal Fragment
For our next location, we transition to the Emerald Stair’s second area. Start by making your way to the Rolling Crags Party Camp. After that, head southward, and look for a lake linked to a waterfall. Jump into the waterfall’s cavern, but mind the fall damage. Once you’ve safely landed in the cavern, walk straight ahead, and you’ll notice the starmetal fragment slightly off to your right side. But be prepared to battle some spiders to obtain it.
Shatterscarp Starmetal Fragment
1. In the desolate mines situated at Shatterscarp’s east, near the Ancient Lakebed, you’ll discover the abandoned mines. After moving eastward, locate the abandoned mines and then veer towards the left, following the rocks as they lead to a campsite of the Thirdborn party. There, you should stumble upon a tiny cave that will guide you into the mines. Once inside this cave, ascend the rocks and platforms to reach the summit of the Abandoned Mines. The Starmetal can be found on a precipice overlooking the party camp on its left side.
2. The third piece is hidden in the old mines of Shatterscarp, near the eastern region of the Ancient Lakebed. Follow this path, and you’ll find the abandoned mines. Then, look for a trail of rocks to the left of the Thirdborn group’s camp, which will lead you to a small cave entrance into these mines. Upon entering, scale the rocks and platforms to reach the highest point in the Abandoned Mines. The Starmetal is perched on a cliff above the party camp on its left side.
Galawain’s Tusk Starmetal Fragment
The final piece of starmetal is hidden within Galawain’s Tusk’s Ash Forest, situated to the southwest of The Living Archives. Incidentally, there’s a bounty named Destul’s Bounty waiting for you in that very location, so it might be wise to take care of that before venturing deeper. Inside the crater within the ash forest, you’ll find the starmetal fragment. Retrieving it will initiate a boss battle.
Conclusion
By following this guide, I’ll be able to pinpoint every single location where the Starmetal Fragments are hidden in Avowed. Completing the ‘Forged in Star-Stuff’ side quest won’t pose any challenges for me anymore!
