The highly anticipated game, Avowed, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios, is now available globally. You can purchase the game as the Premium Edition, the standard edition, or play it with your Game Pass subscription. Both the Premium Upgrade and the Premium Edition include special cosmetic packs for your character and companions, but these aren’t unlocked right away.
What skin packs are included in the Avowed Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade?
The Avowed Premium Edition and Upgrade add both the Obsidian and Eora armor sets, as well as special Eora and Obsidian skins for your companions.
How to access the Avowed Premium Skin Packs
After establishing a Party Camp at a Waystone, you’ll be able to find the Obsidian and Eora armor sets in the Party Stash there.
How to change costumes in Avowed
Once you’ve unlocked the skin packs and armor at the Party Camp’s Party Stash, you can customize your companions’ outfits at the Main Camp Tent. To change your own armor, simply equip it through the inventory screen. Keep in mind that both of these armor sets are unique.
- The Obsidian set includes: Obsidian Order Cuirass, Obsidian Order Gauntlets, and the Obsidian Order Sabatons.
- The Eora set includes: Engwithan Cuirass, Engwithan Gauntlets, and the Engwithan Greaves.

When can you access the Avowed Premium Skin Packs?
After completing the prologue and arriving at Claviger’s Landing, you’ll chat with some characters. Then, while you’re exploring, you’ll find a glowing Waystone (it’s also marked on the map below). Activate the Waystone to establish a Party Camp, which will give you access to costumes and armor stored in the Party Stash.
Can you upgrade to the Avowed Premium Edition from the base game or Game Pass version?
After the game is available on Steam, you can purchase an upgrade directly from its Steam store page. If you’re playing through Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass, you can find the upgrade available for purchase here. Please keep in mind that the benefits of the early access version of the Premium Upgrade won’t apply if you buy it after the game officially launches.
