Instead of being a huge, sprawling event like Endgame, the film was intentionally crafted as a smaller, more direct setup for Secret Wars.

Rumors suggest that The Kang Dynasty wasn’t originally planned as a victory for the heroes. Instead, the film was intended to demonstrate the inevitable downfall of the Multiverse.

The TVA and the Rise of Anchor Beings

The story focused on the Time Variance Authority learning about specific people throughout the Multiverse who were identified as “Anchor Beings.”

These characters were thought to be fundamentally connected to their worlds, and their lives were crucial for those universes to continue existing.

As a huge fan of the show, I understood that the TVA’s desperate move – collecting these ‘Anchor Beings’ – was their final attempt to prevent the escalating danger from the Council of Kangs. It felt like everything hinged on finding these people, and it really raised the stakes!

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man was the central figure for the main Marvel Cinematic Universe (Earth-616), similar to how Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men were the key heroes in their own separate movie universes.

The movie focused on Peter Parker’s emotional journey, showing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man stepping up as a leader while still processing the events of No Way Home.

Total Failure and the Birth of Battleworld

The most surprising part of the potential storyline is that the heroes weren’t actually supposed to win. Even with the TVA trying to help and the strength of the Anchor Beings, the Council of Kangs would still be victorious.
