The most recent buzz centers around Reed Richards, a character who’s been part of the MCU primarily in technical roles. You might be aware that the Fantastic Four will make their official debut in the MCU with the launch of “Fantastic Four: First Steps” next year. Interestingly, Pedro Pascal has been cast as Reed Richards, while John Krasinski previously embodied a version of this character in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”.
The latest gossip, shared on Cosmic Circus’ September Discord AMA, hints that the character Council of Reeds might appear in the upcoming movie. If this is true, it could mean the return of Ioan Gruffudd to take up his previous role once more.
Council of Reeds was an idea I heard being tossed around. Lots of self-congratulatory Reed Richards praise, plus the opportunity to get Ioan Gruffudd again.
Ioan Gruffudd starred as Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards) in the 2005 movie “Fantastic Four” and its sequel “Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer.” Despite these films garnering mixed reactions, many viewers appreciated Gruffudd’s interpretation of Reed.
The Gathering of Reeds refers to a collective of Reed Richards hailing from different dimensions, united to confront interdimensional perils or address conundrums that surpass the capabilities of an individual.
In the event of a significant conflict that could change reality itself, involving Doctor Doom, the Council might prove crucial during the Secret Wars, particularly if both the Avengers and Fantastic Four are present.
Regarding John Krasinski, it’s unlikely he will make an appearance since his character met its end at the hands of Scarlet Witch in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”.
