Avengers: Doomsday Wraps: Expect Massive Reshoots

Avengers: Doomsday has wrapped principal photography in the United Kingdom.

The movie, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, finished filming this week. This wraps up a major part of production for Marvel’s most ambitious project since *Endgame*.

Reshoots Already Planned

However, the movie isn’t quite finished yet. Following the typical “Marvel Method,” Kevin Feige and the Russo brothers are planning to shoot a lot more footage to polish things up.

I’m hearing from *THR* that the studio is planning some reshoots, which isn’t unusual for a big Marvel movie these days. Honestly, it always gets fans talking and wondering if everything’s okay behind the scenes, you know?

Production Under Scrutiny

Following months of rumors about problems with the movie – including script changes and disagreements among the actors – news has emerged about *Avengers: Doomsday*. The film, which will feature Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as Doctor Doom and potentially include Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, has been the subject of much discussion regarding its storyline and future.

With principal photography finished, the focus now turns to reshoots, where Marvel Studios and the directors will refine the movie. Considering the film’s size and the high expectations for its success, these reshoots are likely to be extensive.

After the upcoming *Secret Wars* movie, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is expected to restart in some way. There’s even talk that everything that happened after *Endgame* might be retconned or completely removed.
