Rumors about a trailer for Avengers: Doomsday are getting people excited and giving us a better idea of what Marvel might be planning for the movie.
Kristian Harloff recently discussed rumors about the plot and upcoming trailer for Avengers: Doomsday during a YouTube livestream.
As always, treat these as rumors, but they line up with other talk around the project.

Trailer Versions Being Tested
Harloff said Marvel has cut multiple versions of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer.
Studio executives are figuring out which movie will premiere before Avatar: Fire and Ash on December 19th. They’ve used this strategy before to gauge audience response to things like the movie’s mood and speed, so it’s a common practice.

Peggy Carter & Steve Rogers Cameo (Not in Costume)
One reported trailer cut features Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter and Chris Evans as Steve Rogers.
The characters are dressed as ordinary people, not superheroes. This suggests the scene will focus on their personal lives and feelings, rather than a big action sequence, and supports the idea that the scene takes place in a typical 1960s home belonging to them.

Cyclops & The Summers Family Take Center Stage
There’s ongoing speculation that Wolverine won’t be the primary focus of the upcoming X-Men project. According to Harloff, the story will likely center around Cyclops and his family.
This aligns with rumors that Marvel is planning a major introduction of the X-Men, and doesn’t want to immediately focus on Wolverine as the central figure.
Famke Janssen recently stated she hasn’t been asked to reprise her role as Jean Grey, despite ongoing rumors suggesting she might return.

Patrick Stewart’s Reported Final Role
Sources say that Patrick Stewart, age 85, will retire from acting after appearing in Avengers: Doomsday. This will be his last role, including his portrayal of Professor X.
Marvel might be setting up a significant and potentially heartbreaking scene involving Professor X and Stewart, hinting that the character could die.

Three Earths Colliding & Battleworld Setup
Harloff also claims the film features three universes colliding, leading to Battleworld.
This supports the long-held belief that Marvel’s upcoming Secret Wars storyline will mirror the 2015 comic book series, in which colliding universes formed a fragmented world governed by Doctor Doom.

More Rumors Coming
Harloff said he knows additional details but is holding them for now.
As a huge Marvel fan, and based on what I’ve been hearing, it seems like they’re really setting up something massive – potentially the biggest crossover event ever! From what I understand, Avengers: Doomsday isn’t just going to be a goodbye to some of our favorite heroes, but also the start of a whole new chapter in the MCU. It’s like they’re ending one saga while simultaneously launching the next!
