Marvel fans are buzzing about a new report on the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The report details footage that’s surfaced online, and suggests the trailer unexpectedly centers around a particular character.
Entertainment reporter Daniel Richtman says the first trailer for the new movie will focus solely on Steve Rogers, showing what his life is like after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The trailer’s main purpose, according to Richtman, is to confirm Steve’s return and make it clear he’s the central character of the film.
The first look at the trailer is coming soon, but in a unique way. Instead of releasing it online right away, Marvel Studios will reportedly show it exclusively during screenings of the movie Avatar: Fire and Ash. And instead of one long trailer, they’re planning to release four short teasers over the next few weeks.
Marvel has confirmed that the first teaser trailer will center around Steve Rogers and officially signal his return. This is being done to position him as the main character in the upcoming ‘Avengers Doomsday‘ film. I want to emphasize that I’m sharing this information without intending to be critical.

According to another source, My Time To Shine Hello, Marvel initially intended to introduce Doctor Doom, with Robert Downey Jr. in the role, as the central figure. But the studio later shifted its focus to Steve Rogers instead. This insider also described the four recently released teasers as brief scenes, each highlighting a different character.
The first sneak peek appears to show Steve Rogers biking home and introduces his baby son. The clip reportedly concludes with the message, “Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday,” along with the film’s release date and a countdown timer.
The report also states that Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, will be featured in a future teaser trailer.
While Marvel Studios hasn’t officially confirmed anything, rumors suggest a big surprise for fans. The upcoming Avengers movie, currently titled ‘Doomsday,’ will be directed by the Russo Brothers and conclude the Multiverse Saga. It’s expected to feature a showdown between the Avengers and Doctor Doom, and is currently scheduled for release on December 18, 2026.
