A new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday has appeared online, this one highlighting Chris Hemsworth as Thor. It follows a previous teaser that focused on Chris Evans as Captain America.
Although the complete trailer for the new Thor movie isn’t available everywhere yet, details and images are appearing online, giving us a better understanding of how Marvel is releasing its trailers in stages.
Thor Alone Before the Battle
Based on early descriptions, the trailer features a solitary Thor in the woods, seemingly praying to Odin before a big fight. This scene is calm and thoughtful, a noticeable shift from the typically boisterous and powerful Thor we’ve seen before.
According to reports, Thor is requesting Odin’s blessing to return to his daughter, Love, who was last seen in the movie Thor: Love and Thunder.
Pictures circulating online seem to show Chris Hemsworth filming in a forest, suggesting Marvel is aiming for a realistic and serious feel with these short character previews.
Thor’s Prayer to Odin
The trailer features a monologue where Thor says, “I don’t want any of my titles, kingdoms, or glory. Father, please listen to me. I don’t deserve to live, but I’m asking for a little more time. Not to fight or wage war, but just to see the person I love again.”
This moment highlights Thor’s change in priorities, showing him primarily as a father who only fights when he absolutely has to. It emphasizes his role as a parent over his former pursuit of kingship and heroic fame.

Trailer Confirms Thor and Loki’s Return
The short preview reportedly finishes with a title card announcing that both Thor and Loki will be back in the movie Avengers Doomsday.
This news confirms earlier reports that Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will be important in the movie, possibly bringing him back together with other characters after a long time apart across different universes.

Another Major Marvel Trailer Also Leaks
As a huge Marvel fan, it’s a little frustrating to see things leaking lately! First the Chris Evans Captain America teaser popped up, then the trailer for the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day hit the web unexpectedly, and now the first look at the new Thor movie has leaked too. It feels like Marvel is having a hard time keeping things under wraps, and honestly, while I’m excited to see the footage, I wish they could control the rollout a bit better.
With the recent leaks of information about Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel’s plan to carefully reveal details is starting to fall apart.
Avengers: Doomsday Release Info
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
