The scene begins with Shuri looking back at how Wakanda has evolved since the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She acknowledges the nation’s losses and confirms that M’Baku has taken the throne. Shortly after, M’Baku meets The Thing, marking the first time characters from the Black Panther universe and the Fantastic Four have appeared together on screen.
Viewers immediately recognized the significance of this scene. While Marvel had previously suggested potential team-ups with small hints in earlier trailers featuring characters like Captain America and Thor, this is the first time they’ve definitively shown heroes from different universes together. The image of The Thing appearing in Wakanda quickly generated a lot of buzz online.
The preview reveals that Tenoch Huerta will reprise his role as Namor. Though he was the primary antagonist in Wakanda Forever, the footage hints he remains an ally of sorts to Wakanda. This complicated relationship could be crucial as the Marvel Cinematic Universe builds toward its next big challenge.
Marvel is keeping the details of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie mostly secret, which is why even small glimpses are generating so much excitement. The film will unite a huge team of heroes – including the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and X-Men – to battle Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.
The next Avengers movie, titled Doomsday, will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and is set to release in theaters on December 18th. A follow-up film, Secret Wars, is planned for 2027. You can watch a preview of Doomsday now on Marvel’s official social media pages and on Disney+, where all Marvel Cinematic Universe content is available.
Now that Wakanda and the Fantastic Four have officially teamed up, fans are anticipating even more exciting reveals from Marvel as they share what’s ahead.
