The Russo Brothers have officially kicked off the Avengers: Doomsday countdown.
Just as trailers for Avengers: Doomsday started appearing in cinemas alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash on Thursday, directors Joe and Anthony Russo shared a short teaser counting down to Marvel’s next big Avengers movie.

Countdown Points to December 18, 2026
The preview shows a clock counting down one year, which corresponds with the release date of Avengers: Doomsday – December 18, 2026.
With this latest move, Marvel is officially kicking off its marketing campaign, strategically releasing small hints to generate excitement after a long period of rumors and guesses.

Two Character Teasers Already Leaked
So far, two character-focused teasers from the rollout have already leaked online.
The first clip shows Chris Evans reprising his role as Steve Rogers, depicting him riding a motorcycle and holding a baby. This hints that his life after the events of Endgame will be a significant part of the narrative.
The latest preview focuses on Chris Hemsworth as Thor, showing him by himself in the forest, seemingly praying to Odin before a fight. The trailer concludes with confirmation that both Thor and Loki will be back in Avengers: Doomsday.

Serialized Teasers Are Now Underway
The countdown video suggests Marvel is releasing a series of brief character introductions instead of one full trailer.
The next teaser trailer is likely to feature Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. There’s also a chance we’ll see another teaser focusing on a different character before the release of the final, full trailer for the fifth Avengers movie, titled Doomsday.
Now that promotion has begun with early previews, the studio is clearly building up anticipation for Avengers: Doomsday as a major event over a longer period, leading up to its release in 2026.
