Embark pledges to “be better over time” when it comes to AI voices in Arc Raiders

Beyond the ethical concerns of replacing actors with this technology when so many skilled performers are available, it really pulls you out of the game. It’s especially frustrating because Arc Raiders has incredible sound design – the machines are genuinely frightening, and you can clearly hear every action, giving you vital information during combat. These odd vocalizations just don’t fit with the otherwise exceptional audio quality, which deserves awards.

Embark has “experimented” and won’t rule out second life system for Arc Raiders

As a huge fan, I’m really excited to hear that the Arc Raiders team is thinking about ways to keep things fresh! They’ve actually been testing out a ‘second life’ system – basically a way to get back into the action even after you’ve been taken down – and they haven’t said no to adding it to the game. It could become a core part of how the game works, or they might use it for special, limited-time events like the night raids and storms we already love. Either way, it sounds awesome!

Arc Raiders could move beyond Italy for future maps

As a huge fan, I was really intrigued when the executive producer, Aleksander Grøndal, explained what’s happening in the show. Basically, things have changed a lot in their world, and the raiders are like, rediscovering everything. They’ve lost a lot of history, so it makes total sense they’re now trying to figure out what else is out there and what their world is really about. It’s like they’re starting fresh, and I can’t wait to see what they find!

Arc Raiders is bringing back the “horror” feel of dark night raids for launch

After the initial server stress test, we made some adjustments based on player feedback. We realized the nighttime visuals were leaning too heavily towards a flashy ‘Hollywood’ look. We’ve refined them to better match our vision for live night raids, which will subtly change gameplay by reducing how far players can see.
