Rebeca Huntt’s first film is a personal documentary where she explores what it means to be Afro-Latina, her family’s past, and how those roots have influenced her life growing up in New York City. The film blends real-life footage, old photos and videos, and Huntt’s own spoken reflections, looking at issues of race, social class, and finding herself through her Dominican and Venezuelan heritage. Featuring interviews with her family and friends from the New York documentary scene, the film is directed and written by Huntt and will no longer be available on Hulu after October 23rd.
