Guillermo del Toro offers a fresh take on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, starring Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein and Jacob Elordi as his creation. The film also features Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz. Del Toro worked again with his frequent collaborators, cinematographer Dan Laustsen and composer Alexandre Desplat, to create a dark, atmospheric story that focuses on the Creature’s inner life. J. Miles Dale produced, and del Toro wrote the script. It’s coming to Netflix this week.

Peter Farrelly oversaw this film, which is a collection of short stories directed by different filmmakers. It boasts a star-studded cast, including Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, and Halle Berry. The movie is structured like a series of sketches, tied together by a story about a struggling screenwriter. Released in 2013, it quickly gained a reputation for its over-the-top humor and somewhat chaotic, fragmented plot.

Robert Pattinson first gained international recognition playing Cedric Diggory, proving he could shine alongside already-famous young actors. The popular Netflix series will conclude with its fifth season, which will be released in three parts. The first four episodes will be available starting November 26th.
