While Nolan was once considered to direct the 2004 film Troy, Wolfgang Petersen ultimately took on that role. He more than compensated for that missed opportunity with his latest movie, which involved 91 days of filming – and a massive amount of footage. “We filmed over two million feet of film,” Nolan revealed.

The movie stars Joaquin Phoenix and Pedro Pascal, alongside Emma Stone and Austin Butler. Darius Khondji handled the cinematography, and the music was composed by Bobby Krlic and Daniel Pemberton. After premiering at Cannes in 2025, the film will be available to stream on Max starting Friday, November 14th.
