Movies Where Black Queer Characters Throw the Best Parties

As a total cinema lover, I was completely captivated by this documentary. It takes you back to the late 80s New York City drag ball scene – these incredible gatherings were so much more than just parties. They were vital spaces where the Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ community found family and support. The film really dives into the world of ‘houses’ competing in different categories, showing off amazing fashion and this incredible dance style called vogueing. Through interviews and actual footage, it beautifully captures the unique social dynamics and incredible creativity that thrived within these ballroom communities.

Soulful African American Holiday Films Better Than Your Overplayed Classics

In this funny and heartwarming Christmas movie, Eddie Murphy plays a dad who is determined to win the neighborhood’s Christmas decorating contest. He accidentally makes a deal with a playful elf, which unexpectedly brings the classic ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ song to life! As things get hilariously chaotic, his family, including his wife played by Tracee Ellis Ross, has to work together to undo the magical spell. It’s a fresh, visually impressive, and energetic take on a holiday classic.

The Vecna Challenge Is TikTok’s Creepiest New Trend

This trend started because of the Netflix show Stranger Things. An episode in the fifth season featured a happy, 1950s song – “Mr. Sandman” by The Chordettes – playing during a scary scene involving the villain Vecna. Now, the line “Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream” is strongly associated with the trend, but its cheerful meaning feels ironic given how it was used in the show.

Trans Actors Whose Roles Were Recast Post-Transition Backlash

A well-known actress and activist, she publicly criticized the practice of casting cisgender men to play transgender women. Her comments sparked a broader discussion, leading to increased attention and criticism of films like ‘Anything’. Although she didn’t change the casting in that particular case, she later landed leading roles in shows like ‘Mrs. Fletcher’ and ‘Clarice’ because the entertainment industry began prioritizing authentic representation. Her efforts have significantly influenced how studios now cast transgender characters.

Metaplanet Stock Set to Skyrocket 1500% by 2027: The Crypto Rollercoaster

For those with short memories or just a penchant for optimism, Lux hints that in 2026, the stock could soar by a staggering 402%. All it takes is BTC to rally a modest 40% annually and Metaplanet to ramp up its BTC holdings to 100,000 by 2026, doubling to 210,000 by 2027. Easy peasy, right? Just the small matter of Bitcoin mooning again. 🚀✨

PLURIBUS’ Beautiful Season 1 Finale Gets to the ‘Soul’ of the Show’s Tragedy

I understand those who believe all life is equally valuable, but I agree with Manousos that it’s wrong to place a human life on the same level as an insect. I would always choose to save a person over an ant. The collective intelligence on Pluribus, however, doesn’t see it that way. It considers everything – even something as simple as an apple – as important as a human being. It believes a piece of fruit is equal to a person capable of feeling, thinking, loving, and experiencing emotions. This collective doesn’t recognize any difference between things, and it’s even incapable of disliking anything, let alone hate. Because of this, it can’t truly love anyone or anything. By connecting to everything equally, it can’t form genuine connections. If you love everything, you end up loving nothing at all. And if you value everything equally, without any discernment, you don’t actually have any values.
