In the year 2018, during the release of “Deadpool 2”, a character stole the limelight from even Josh Brolin’s portrayal of Cable. This wasn’t Wade Wilson himself, but rather Peter, skillfully played by Rob Delaney. Peter Wisdom was an ordinary individual, searching for employment when Wade Wilson was recruiting for his new X-Force team. Despite lacking any superpowers or special skills, the charming Peter immediately caught Deadpool’s attention and became a part of the squad. Unfortunately, he met his untimely end during his first mission, along with most of the team. This moment in cinema left audiences heartbroken. However, fortunately for us, Peter made a comeback, reappearing in “Deadpool & Wolverine”.

Every day, you might recognize her as the voice behind Tommy Pickles from Rugrats, yet she left a lasting impression on Friends as well, playing Leslie, Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow)’s former musical companion and rival, in the episode known as “The One with Phoebe’s Ex-Partner.”

As a dedicated fan of epic fantasy series, I must say that I find myself once again plunged into a deep, protracted wait for the next season of House of the Dragon. Having been through the same agonizing anticipation between seasons one and two of this captivating show, I can’t help but feel a pang of familiar frustration.

As “House of the Dragon” bid farewell to its second season, it welcomed one of Westeros’ most cherished pairs into the fold. HBO unveiled a preview for shows set to premiere in 2024 and 2025, and within this montage was the first glimpse from their upcoming “Game of Thrones” prequel, titled “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms“. This quick sneak peek at Dunk and Egg’s live-action debut showcased some significant moments and characters from their initial adventure together.

In a fresh take on the narrative, Marvel’s recent hit movie, Deadpool and Wolverine, not only breathed new life into the franchise but also paid tribute to Marvel films previously produced by 20th Century Fox, such as Fantastic Four and Blade. When Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy embarked on the creation of Deadpool and Wolverine, their goal was to resurrect those heroes who had seemingly vanished!

As a die-hard fan, let me tell you, Deadpool and Wolverine have solidified Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson, the Merc With a Mouth, as one of the most vulgar-talking characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that I adore! The movie was packed with jokes targeting celebrities and sensitive topics, which could have stirred up some controversy. However, despite the potential for scandal, jabs at Hugh Jackman’s divorce, Bennifer (Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez), and even our franchise’s patriarch Kevin Feige were a daring move from the creators that I found incredibly entertaining!

The second season of House of the Dragon concluded with a significant flair! Queen Rhaenyra now boasts three commoner Dragonriders, often referred to as ‘dragon seeds’, supporting her faction. This advantage seems to tilt the balance towards Team Black. However, in George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood novel – the basis for HOTD – there’s a character named Nettles who eventually tames the wild dragon Sheepstealer, hinted at throughout the season 2!

The popular HBO series “The White Lotus,” produced by Mike White, is set to come back for its third season following two highly successful seasons. In its debut, the show introduced fresh characters and offered an anxiety-provoking escape to a Hawaiian resort. The second installment presented a new cast as well as some familiar favorites, with even more calamitous events unfolding.

The world of John Wick keeps growing, with more stories unfolding beyond the four movies. In the pipeline is the spinoff film, Ballerina, and the prequel TV series, The Continental, which debuted on Peacock in 2023, taking us back to the 1970s and providing a glimpse into events between the third and fourth John Wick films. Not to be overlooked is John Wick 5, currently in development, and another potential John Wick TV series, tentatively named John Wick: Under the High Table, being developed by Lionsgate TV. This series is set to continue the narrative right after the events of John Wick: Chapter 4, giving us insights into the enigmatic organization we’ve come to love.
