As a die-hard fan, let me tell you, Deadpool and Wolverine have solidified Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson, the Merc With a Mouth, as one of the most vulgar-talking characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that I adore! The movie was packed with jokes targeting celebrities and sensitive topics, which could have stirred up some controversy. However, despite the potential for scandal, jabs at Hugh Jackman’s divorce, Bennifer (Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez), and even our franchise’s patriarch Kevin Feige were a daring move from the creators that I found incredibly entertaining!

The second season of House of the Dragon concluded with a significant flair! Queen Rhaenyra now boasts three commoner Dragonriders, often referred to as ‘dragon seeds’, supporting her faction. This advantage seems to tilt the balance towards Team Black. However, in George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood novel – the basis for HOTD – there’s a character named Nettles who eventually tames the wild dragon Sheepstealer, hinted at throughout the season 2!

The popular HBO series “The White Lotus,” produced by Mike White, is set to come back for its third season following two highly successful seasons. In its debut, the show introduced fresh characters and offered an anxiety-provoking escape to a Hawaiian resort. The second installment presented a new cast as well as some familiar favorites, with even more calamitous events unfolding.

The world of John Wick keeps growing, with more stories unfolding beyond the four movies. In the pipeline is the spinoff film, Ballerina, and the prequel TV series, The Continental, which debuted on Peacock in 2023, taking us back to the 1970s and providing a glimpse into events between the third and fourth John Wick films. Not to be overlooked is John Wick 5, currently in development, and another potential John Wick TV series, tentatively named John Wick: Under the High Table, being developed by Lionsgate TV. This series is set to continue the narrative right after the events of John Wick: Chapter 4, giving us insights into the enigmatic organization we’ve come to love.

As Yellowstone nears its conclusion, creator Taylor Sheridan is actively expanding the series’ universe. The Dutton family will embark on a new narrative with their storyline now set during World War II, hinting at the development of a Yellowstone prequel spin-off titled “1944.”

During Japan’s Sengoku Period, also known as the Warring States Era, various states were constantly at odds with one another. This medieval backdrop serves as an ideal canvas for some of the most memorable anime stories ever told. The creators of these series have skillfully portrayed the essence of life during Japan’s medieval times.

Over almost two decades, the possibility of seeing Keanu Reeves’ John Constantine grace the silver screen again has been tantalizingly close! Back in November 2012, filmmaker Guillermo del Toro inked a deal to produce a Justice League Dark movie centering around DC Comics’ mystical characters, with John Constantine among them. Then, as recently as November 2020, actor Peter Stormare hinted at a potential sequel being underway via an Instagram post. However, neither Warner Bros. reps nor Keanu Reeves officially confirmed this exciting news at the time.

On February 14, 2025, we’re eagerly awaiting the release of “Captain America: Brave New World,” which marks one of the initial movies in the MCU’s Phase Five. A surprising turn of events will unfold within this film, as Anthony Mackie assumes the role of Captain America, taking over from Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers in the earlier films. Excitement is building for the movie premiere!

As a thrilled fan, I can’t help but share my anticipation for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Phase Five film, titled “Captain America: Brave New World“, set to hit theaters on Valentine’s Day, 2025. The excitement is palpable as we eagerly await the premiere, where Anthony Mackie will don the Captain America shield, taking over from Chris Evans’ iconic Steve Rogers. However, there’s a twist in store, and I can hardly wait to uncover the surprise hidden within the storyline!
