On Tuesday, February 18th, it was determined that A$AP Rocky was innocent in the 2021 shooting case he faced. This ruling followed a three-week court trial held at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

In November 2021, the rapper known as A$AP Rocky (whose birth name is Rakim Mayers) was allegedly involved in a shooting incident with his ex-friend A$AP Relli (Terrell Ephron), according to reports from Billboard. This event took place close to a Hollywood hotel.

Initially, Rocky was looking at two severe accusations related to using a gun in violent encounters. A conviction would potentially lead to imprisonment for as long as 24 years. Yet, the district attorneys proposed a sentence of eight years instead.

Overwhelmed with joy and disbelief, I leaped from my seat in the courtroom when the not-guilty verdict was announced. With tears of relief streaming down my face, I sprinted across the room to embrace my beloved partner, Rihanna, who stood just as ecstatic next to me. The two of us, united in our elation, were later spotted celebrating exuberantly outside the courthouse, our hearts pounding with shared triumph.

After the verdict was announced, Rocky expressed his gratitude by saying, “Firstly, we’d like to thank God. Secondly, we are deeply grateful to the jury for delivering the correct decision. We feel incredibly fortunate to be here, to be a free individual having this conversation with you all.

Multiple artists swiftly responded to the news, demonstrating their solidarity for Rocky. Kanye West, now known as Ye, shared a black-and-white image of Rocky in court accompanied by a praying hands emoji. This post garnered over 1.6 million likes within just 14 hours. Ye and Rocky have previously worked together on the song “Jukebox Joints” back in 2015.

Additionally, Nicki Minaj expressed her joy on Instagram by posting a photo featuring Tekashi69 (Rocky), Rihanna, and their children, Riot and RZA. Her caption read, “All praise to God.

50 Cent, a rapper, commented on the verdict of Rocky’s case. Earlier, he had confidently stated that Rocky would win and even offered a $500,000 bet. After the decision, 50 Cent posted on Instagram, “Not Guilty. I told you all I would bet 500,000 if ASAP Tellie started getting tired of telling it for 5 days straight. Now stay free from trouble.
