It was so heartwarming to see photos of Arnold Schwarzenegger celebrating Thanksgiving with his granddaughters! His daughter, Katherine, shared pictures of him spending the day with my family – including his ex-wife, Maria Shriver, and the girls, Eloise and Lyla. They’re getting so big – Eloise is three and Lyla is five – and it was just a really sweet family moment.
Katherine shared a photo of her daughters posing in front of a giant gingerbread playhouse decorated with an Elf on the Shelf and tiny pine trees. In a sweet, candid moment, Arnold is seen walking up behind them. Katherine wrote, “So much to be thankful for ♥️,” with the post.

Arnold recently shared how much he enjoys being a grandfather. He has three grandchildren: Eloise and Lyla, from his daughter Katherine, and a 12-month-old son named Ford. The children affectionately call him “Opa,” the German word for grandpa. He told PEOPLE that being a grandfather is wonderful, and having animals around has made it a natural and easy role for him. He admitted he didn’t realize how much he’d enjoy it!
