Arknights: Endfield CBT2 start date and major changes announced

Hypergryph revealed that the second closed beta for Arknights: Endfield will begin on November 28, 2025, and will be available on PC, iOS, and Android. Interested players can register now through the official website.

Cyberpunk 2077’s second major update will significantly revise the main story with new dialogue, cutscenes, and branching paths. Your choices will now lead to different experiences and unique content.

This update introduces Wuling, a new area blending traditional Chinese design with futuristic sci-fi. Players can also look forward to a photo mode and a helpful gadget called the Crate Detector, which finds chests. Allies will assist by pointing out nearby crates and collecting items. A key feature of this test is the ability to build and share structures like ziplines with other players, and work together to maintain them.

The second closed beta test will feature a total of 24 playable Operators. This includes nine new characters: Ardelia, Last Rite, and Pogranichnik (all 6-Star), Alesh (5-Star), and Estella, Fluorite, Catcher, Antal, and Akekuri (all 4-Star).

The game has received significant updates beyond just the main story. Hypergryph has revamped the class and combat system, introducing six classes – Guard, Vanguard, Caster, Defender, Striker, and Supporter – and five damage types: Physical, Heat, Electric, Cryo, and Nature.

We’ve completely reworked how different damage types interact, particularly with status effects. You can now use abilities like Lift or Knock Down to make enemies Vulnerable and Staggered. Then, abilities that Crush or Breach will use that Vulnerability to deal extra physical damage or make enemies even weaker to physical attacks.

Accordingly, several characters have been reworked along with their skill sets and visuals.

Dodge can now be used twice quickly one after the other. The new Perfect Dodge feature also saves stamina and replenishes skill points.

Okay, so the tougher enemies are getting a new thing called ‘Stagger Nodes’. Basically, they’re like mini-breaks in the stagger meter – hitting them enough to reach a node will briefly interrupt what they’re doing. Also, combat is really focusing on weak points now. Hitting enemies in different spots will have different effects – sometimes they’ll block completely, other times you’ll do extra damage. It’s all about learning where to aim!

We’re improving the factory system (called AIC) with a new feature called Blueprints. This will let players design and share factory layouts that others can easily copy. In this update, we’re also adding tools like the AIC Steward to make expanding your factory simpler, and BUS systems that can be placed anywhere. Plus, we’re introducing Wuling, which adds liquids to the game.

We’re adding a Reception Room to the Dijiang – our spaceship – where players can show off their accomplishments and collections. You’ll also be able to visit your friends’ ships. Plus, Hypergryph hinted at a new roguelike game mode called Etchspace Salvage, which will be accessed through the Reception Room.

All platforms will have improved controller compatibility, and mobile players will be able to personalize their on-screen controls.

Hypergryph explained the game’s gacha (random character draw) system. In the second closed beta (CBT2), players will have access to several banners: New Horizons, a starter banner that guarantees a 6-Star Operator, and the standard Basic and Chartered Headhunting banners. These banners guarantee a 6-Star Operator after 80 pulls and the featured Operator after 120 pulls. Additionally, featured Operators will remain available for two banners after their initial appearance, giving players more chances to obtain them (traditional reruns will also continue). However, this extended availability feature won’t be included in CBT2.

The Arsenal Exchange is back, letting you buy specific weapons or try your luck with the gacha system. You’re guaranteed a 6-Star weapon after just four tries, the featured weapon after eight, and another 6-Star weapon after ten. After that, a 6-Star weapon is guaranteed every eight attempts, with the featured weapon appearing every 16 attempts.

Endfield will have a battle pass called the Protocol Pass. Players can earn enough in-game currency through the pass to buy the next one, plus receive other rewards. However, outside of China, no features that cost money will be available during the second closed beta test (CBT2).
