As a seasoned observer of the glamorous world of entertainment, I must say that Ariana Grande continues to impress me with her poise and professionalism. At the Academy Women’s Luncheon, she effortlessly showcased her posing expertise while also displaying an endearing level of humility by seeking feedback from the photographers. It’s always refreshing to see a star of her caliber remain grounded amidst the glitz and glamour.
At the Academy Women’s Luncheon in Los Angeles on December 10, Ariana Grande, an experienced red carpet model, showcased her posing skills flawlessly, occasionally taking a moment to adjust her posture as she posed for photographers.
In a video shot by Bustle, the 33-year-old performer and Wicked star is pictured adopting a specific stance with one foot in front of the other. As she assumes this position, she queries the photographers, “Is this an appropriate spot for my toe?” followed by a jest, “I’ve decided to stick with this pose.
Moving to a new cluster of camera operators, Grande inquired, “Fancy trying something new?” A disembodied voice replied, “Nah, this is fine,” causing her to carry on with the poses.
At the Chanel-hosted event, the multi-talented performer opted for a mini dress featuring a deep v-neck and boxy silhouette. She complemented this shimmering outfit with black tights and heels with pointed toes. To complete her look, she added a ribbon that matched her sleek, pulled-back blonde hair.
The Academy’s Women’s Luncheon was held to honor the Academy Gold Fellowship for Women, a program that supports up-and-coming female filmmakers, as reported in a press release by People.
On the 9th of December, Monday, Ariana Grande was nominated for a Golden Globe award in the category ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her work with Cynthia Erivo in Wicked: Part One. Similarly, her co-star received a nomination for ‘Best Performance by an Actress’.
After hearing about their nominations, Erivo spoke with THR right away, expressing pride over her and Grande’s achievements. The multi-talented British artist, who received her fourth Golden Globe nomination on Monday, expressed double the excitement for Grande because her nomination represented her first time being recognized as an actress at the Golden Globes.
The friendly bond between Erivo and Grande was evident throughout the promotional tour for Wicked, as they often helped each other adjust their headpieces and shared heartfelt instances numerous times.
The musical “Wicked,” featuring stars like Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Peter Dinklage, Ethan Slater, and others, is currently showing in cinemas. Remarkably, this film version of the 2003 Tony Award-winning musical has been breaking box office records, overtaking “Grease” to become the highest-grossing adaptation of a musical, as reported by IMDb.
Wicked: Part Two is set to arrive in November 2025.
