Ariana Grande Reveals Mom’s Wish To Rest At Cinderella Castle But Disney Has Other Plans; Find Out

As an ardent fan who has followed Ariana Grande’s journey since her days on Nickelodeon, I find myself deeply moved by her recent revelation about her mother Joan’s heartfelt wish. It’s not every day that we get a glimpse into the personal lives of our beloved celebrities, and this story about Ariana and her mom is a poignant reminder of the bonds that tie us all together.

I’m absolutely head-over-heels for Ariana Grande, and hearing her share such a heartwarming tale about her mom Joan on The Las Culturistas podcast was nothing short of magical! She opened up about my idol’s mother’s lifelong dream, making it feel as if I were getting a glimpse into the intimate moments that shaped Ariana’s life.

Ariana Grande revealed that her mother, who cherishes all things Disney, hopes to have her remains scattered at Cinderella Castle in Disney World. While Grande acknowledged this wish, she expressed some reservations about making it come true. However, realizing Joan’s dream may encounter a substantial legal challenge since Disney does not permit such activities within its theme parks.

On a chat with podcast hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers on November 6th, Ariana Grande shared an unconventional desire expressed by her mother.

The conversation began as the trio talked about iconic Disney attractions, leading the Grammy-winning singer to share, “My mom tells us too often that she wants her ashes sprinkled over [Cinderella’s Castle].”

She jokingly reminisced about the occurrence of these discussions. “I’m all, ‘Mom, it’s Christmas! Can’t we discuss this later?’ To which she replied, ‘Yes, you need to ensure it gets done,'” Grande stated.

Ariana mentioned that her mother often emphasizes a specific last wish to both her and her brother, Frankie Grande, but she’s not fully convinced. “Mom, I don’t really want to ensure that it comes true,” she said.

In a humorous turn of events, the bustling Ariana Grande, currently involved in marketing Wicked: Part One (expected release date – November 22), playfully pondered upon the challenges of fulfilling her mother’s wish. “I believe there are actors lurking around. So, you might just find yourself dusting people’s heads, who are dressed as Tinker Bell and waiting for their cue,” she chuckled.

Yang chimed in, noting the exclusive Cinderella Castle Suite, which is located inside the iconic landmark. Grande shared her personal experience with the suite, saying that she has been in there because she performed at the castle one time and she got to change in there. She said it’s really beautiful, and it feels very real.

It’s unfortunate for Joan that dispersing ashes isn’t allowed at Disney parks, a rule that was made clear by a Disney spokesperson to the Wall Street Journal back in 2018, stating it’s both against park policy and illegal.

The report indicated that, should any ash be discovered, the affected attractions will be temporarily closed for cleaning up technical issues caused by the spill. This procedure entails custodians utilizing powerful vacuums equipped with HEPA filters to vacuum up minute particles, which we internally call a HEPA cleanup.

Regardless of the regulations in place, there have been consistent efforts made to scatter ashes at Disney parks throughout the years. Notable locations for this practice include flower beds, grassy areas in the Magic Kingdom, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, and notably, the Haunted Mansion, where such occurrences are said to be most frequent.
