As an ardent fan of both the Royal Family and Ted Lasso, I am absolutely thrilled to pieces about Prince William teaming up with Hannah Waddingham for The Earthshot Report! It’s not every day that we get to see the future King play darts with the fabulous Phoebe Taylor (as she is known in Ted Lasso). To be honest, it feels like a dream come true.
In a new collaboration, Prince William and Hannah Waddingham will feature prominently in an upcoming documentary series titled “The Earthshot Report.” Previously, a sneak peek of this program was released on the PBS network, which has since gained widespread attention online over the past few days.
On this occasion, just like any other, the Prince of Wales scarcely features in promotions or media, and this time is no exception, as his screen presence lasts merely two minutes.
Regarding the specifics of the program, the stars Waddingham and Prince William will highlight the achievements and efforts of various influential figures in relation to environmental protection and conservation research.
In summary, the creators revealed a brief outline for “The Earthshot Report” which takes us on a worldwide journey. This includes stops in the Western U.S., Ecuador, South Africa, and the U.K., where we uncover heartening tales of environmental pioneers who are devising solutions capable of preserving and healing our planet for generations to come.
In the meantime, a member of the royal family will introduce the educational program, speaking for approximately two minutes. On the other hand, the actress from Ted Lasso will host the entire show.
In a recently shared promotional video, the Prince of Wales and actress Waddingham are seen enjoying each other’s company while playing darts and sharing laughter. Their conversation becomes increasingly lively as the teaser unfolds. Initially, Waddingham playfully remarks about opening the door for the Prince, followed by a discussion about the Earthshot Prize event, which had taken place at the same location where they were standing.
Later on in the video, we get a glimpse into how the scenes were orchestrated, with cranes and workers coordinating their efforts.
The Earthshot Report is set to broadcast on the PBS network on December 18. You’ll also be able to stream it on platforms such as Apple TV and Roku. As per Rolling Stones reports, the show has already been aired on television in the U.K. on BBC.
