As a dedicated fan of Chicago P.D., I have witnessed the beautiful journey of Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead (or Upstead, as we affectionately call them) on-screen. The chemistry between Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer was palpable, and their characters’ slow-burn romance was a joy to watch.

In real-life acting, Soffer played a role in the TV series Chicago P.D. from its first season up until season 10. Spiridakos joined the cast during season 4 and remained until season 11 when she departed. On screen, their characters developed a romance over several seasons, but ultimately went through a divorce.
Chicago P.D. season 12 premieres on NBC on Sept. 25.
