Arcane, a show based on the League of Legends universe, centers around sisters Vi and Powder (who later becomes Jinx). Originally orphans living in the grimy, perilous streets of Zaun, they harbor dreams of leaving for the prosperous city of Piltover. However, a botched heist sets their lives and the destiny of both cities on an unalterable path. Co-created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, the animated series has proven to be one of Netflix’s biggest hits.
In the final season of Arcane, the primary narrative will be concluded, but the League of Legends universe will live on through upcoming spinoffs. Already in development are additional stories and characters, hinted by the creators. Christian Linke has stated that Vi and Jinx’s journeys are nearing completion, but they are also working on new projects involving other champions. The studio behind Arcane, Fortiche, plans to keep collaborating with Riot Games for future television and film projects in the League of Legends universe.
Season 2 of Arcane reaches its three-part finale starting November 9, 2024. If you’re not up-to-date, the first season is streaming now on Netflix. Rest assured, we’ll provide additional information as it becomes available, so stay tuned to TopMob for further updates.
