Anya Taylor-Joy Steps Out in a Red Look That Breaks All the Rules

Anya Taylor-Joy recently reached a career milestone: her first cover appearance for Vanity Fair. She shared the exciting news with her followers online, expressing gratitude to everyone involved, especially writer Hermione Hoby.

The interview took place when most communication was happening remotely. Taylor-Joy explained that Hoby was able to connect with her story despite them only meeting through video calls. Taylor-Joy shared on social media, “Thank you to the team and a special thanks to @hermionehoby for capturing a memorable moment in my life, even with the unusual setting of Zoom calls…it was a pleasure.”

The piece highlighted a time of rapid career growth for her. Filming from home, rather than a professional studio, made the interview feel more genuine and personal. It offered a glimpse into how she was navigating newfound fame while remaining down-to-earth.

She’s remained consistently busy in the film industry since then, notably appearing as a younger Furiosa in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. She also had a small role as Alia Atreides in Dune: Part Two.

She’s also found great success as a voice actor, most notably as Princess Peach in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which was a huge hit worldwide. She’s set to reprise the role in the upcoming sequel, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, scheduled to be released in April 2026.

I’m so excited for what’s coming up for her! She’s going to be in the new Apple TV+ series ‘Lucky’ alongside Drew Starkey, and she’s even landed the main role in the Netflix adaptation of ‘How to Kill Your Family’! It’s going to be amazing to see her shine in both of these projects.

Romain Gavras is directing a new movie called Sacrifice, starring Chris Evans, Salma Hayek, and Vincent Cassel.
