In the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and ‘Secret Wars’ are eagerly awaited collaborative movies, set to be equally spectacular as their forerunners.
Prior to significant upcoming events, Anthony Mackie‘s character Sam Wilson is taking center stage as the next Captain America in ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ In a recent conversation held in London, Mackie and his fellow actor Danny Ramirez (who portrays Joaquin Torres) shared insights about the forthcoming Avengers films.
I can’t contain my excitement as I look forward to the blend of the past and present in the MCU. It’s going to be amazing to see the original cast members reunite with the fresh faces, creating a colossal ensemble.
When Ramirez playfully expressed concern that Mackie might’ve accidentally leaked a spoiler, Mackie promptly assured he hadn’t a clue about the outcome. Yet, he’s eager to find out how events unfold. Moreover, he recalled Robert Downey Jr.’s statement: “RDJ declared on stage, ‘I’m returning!’
Mackie went on to say, “It’s thrilling to imagine the prospect of meeting new characters and possibly merging two worlds into a single Marvel Cinatic Universe. It’s intriguing! When you think about Deadpool and Wolverine, you can’t help but wonder if they’ll make an appearance. You know what I mean? The anticipation builds as you watch these films, wondering who else will be part of it, who will bring the characters to life. I’m eagerly looking forward to that.
It’s not surprising that Sam Wilson (the actor) is eager about his upcoming projects, given that Nate Moore has recently joked about him taking the lead in the ‘Avengers’ movies set in the Multiverse.
Fans won’t have a long wait until they can witness Mackie’s Captain America in action on the big screen, as “Captain America: Brave New World” is scheduled for release on Valentine’s Day, 2025. Given the high level of excitement surrounding the movie and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s future, it promises to be a thrilling period for Marvel enthusiasts.
