In the comic book series ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ Sam Wilson will don a fresh suit that echoes Steve Rogers’ original design with red, white, and blue hues. Different from his previous uniform in ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,’ this new attire adopts a traditional Captain America aesthetic.
In the past, he’s flown with Vibranium wings, but now they’ve received an upgrade, revealing enhanced flight abilities. It’s expected that Sam will sport a fresh flight helmet, presumably designed by his pal Scott Lang, bearing a resemblance to the one donned by Ant-Man.
Over time, as Steve Rogers assumes the mantle of Captain America, his uniform will embody his evolution and leadership as a world-saver, standing tall against adversaries such as the Red Hulk.
Concerning the helmet, Mackie recently expressed joy over shedding his iconic cowl. When inquired about its removal, he confessed to the decision himself. He voiced his discomfort while wearing the cowl, labeling it as his “nightmare.” He explained that it was intolerable due to the heat, sweat, and fogged-up glasses, which made seeing or performing tasks nearly impossible.
He informed Marvel that he no longer wished to don the item, expressing, “‘I have no intention of wearing that again’.” The headgear was troublesome for him, and overall, he found it uncomfortable. It seemed Mackie struggled with it, and his remark indicates a firm resolve not to wear it in the future.
Due to me stating that I wouldn’t wear it anymore, that experience was tough. With the intense heat, sweating, and foggy eyewear, it was nearly unbearable. The garment was referred to as a cowl, but for me, it was my worst nightmare. It seemed impossible to deal with it effectively.
