As a devoted fan, I’ve always marveled at the Talamasca’s presence in Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles and The Mayfield Witches. From their global motherhouses, they’ve been silently observing and managing the supernatural creatures that inhabit our world. Yet, they’ve never had their own spotlight. That’s all set to change! AMC unveiled the first trailer for a spinoff series, Talamasca: The Secret Order, during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The teaser is packed with the suspense, enigma, and grisly elements that are synonymous with AMC’s Immortal Universe. I can hardly wait to see more!
Attendees at the event were treated to more than just a sneak peek, as Eric Bogosian, portraying Daniel Molloy from “Interview with the Vampire,” made an unexpected appearance not only during the panel discussion but also in the trailer for “Talamasca: The Secret Order.” In the upcoming spinoff series of “Interview with the Vampire,” Bogosian will reprise his character. Furthermore, images released by AMC for the “Talamasca: The Secret Order” series include Bogosian’s Molloy among the characters featured in them.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that “Talamasca: The Secret Order” is an upcoming series, masterfully crafted by showrunners John Lee Hancock, known for his work on “The Blind Side,” and Mark Lafferty, whose credits include “Halt and Catch Fire.” This intriguing tale will feature Nicholas Denton, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Celine Buckens, Jason Schwartzman, and the incredibly talented William Fichtner (of “Jasper” fame). I can hardly wait!
As the Talamasca keep their vigil, you’ll need to exercise some patience before they reveal their own secrets. The series debuts perfectly timed for Halloween, on October 26th, Sunday. It remains to be seen if those doing the watching are the ones who should be under observation instead.
