Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt’s Daughter Shiloh Officially Drops Father’s Last Name; Court Approves Change After Initial Delay

As an ardent fan who has followed the Jolie-Pitt family for years, I can’t help but feel a tinge of nostalgia as I witness another significant milestone in their lives – Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s legal name change to Shiloh Jolie. This dynamic teenager, who shares her journey with the world, has always been a beacon of individuality and self-expression within this extraordinary family.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has been given permission to change her name. The 16-year-old was previously known as Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, but she will now be identified legally as just Shiloh Jolie.

On the third day following my 18th birthday, I, being the renowned star kid, initiated a petition to eliminate my father’s last name from my professional identity on May 30. The court honored my request unofficially on Monday, August 19, as reported by TMZ, without the need for a formal hearing.

Besides Shiloh, Jolie (aged 49) and Pitt (aged 60) also have five more children: Maddox (age 22), Zahara (age 19), Pax, and the twins Knox and Vivienne who are both 15 years old.

As a committed follower reporting, I regretfully share that my name change petition was deferred in July, as the court postponed my hearing due to an unfinished background check. In essence, Peter Levine, my legal representative, communicated at the time that the court could not finalize the background check prior to today’s hearing, hence necessitating a rescheduling of the hearing for August 19. It has been made known that I am personally shouldering the costs associated with my legal proceedings.

It’s necessary for individuals who are seeking a name change to go through a background check, which is usually handled by the court clerk. Unfortunately, due to an administrative mistake, Shiloh’s hearing got postponed to a later date, as Levine explained.

In July, Shiloh finalized the name change procedure when she publicly declared that she had submitted a request to be known as Shiloh Jolie, by announcing it in the Los Angeles Times.

As per California’s laws, an individual seeking to modify their name must first publish the necessary legal documents in a local newspaper for a full month. After this period, the petition will be featured in the legal notices section of the newspaper.

Following the submission of Shiloh’s petition, a source near Brad Pitt informed People that he had taken notice of this situation and wasn’t particularly pleased, as it brought back memories of losing custody of his children.

Apart from Shiloh, Vivienne, the younger sibling, attempted an informal separation from their father by using “Vivienne Jolie” instead of her full name on a payroll for The Outsiders earlier in the year. Similarly, Zahara, their elder sister, whose complete name is Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, garnered attention when she showcased her shortened name during her sorority initiation last November.
