As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the upcoming Venice Film Festival is shaping up to be quite the spectacle, with some of Hollywood’s biggest names gracing the Lido with their presence. However, it seems that the most anticipated (or perhaps, apprehensive) encounter between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will not take place, thanks to a clever scheduling maneuver by the festival organizers.
At this year’s Venice Film Festival, neither Angelina Jolie nor Brad Pitt are expected to meet, as they will be presenting their individual films – Maria for Jolie and Wolfs for Pitt. This was shared by the festival’s artistic director, Alberto Barbera, in an interview with Vanity Fair.
When questioned about the possibility of their former partners crossing paths at the glamorous event, Barbara clarified that their schedules would keep them apart. Angelina is slated to attend on the first day, specifically August 29th, and she will depart immediately afterwards with director Pablo Larraín to head for the Telluride Film Festival. Brad, however, won’t arrive until Saturday at Venice.
“There is no way they will come face to face at the Lido,” Barbera added, referring to Brangelina.
The ex-spouses’ discussions about their divorce continue, almost eight years following their separation. According to a recent report by People, both parties are still in communication, and the terms of their settlement are yet to be finalized. As it stands, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are involved in a complicated legal dispute over Chateau Miraval, the vineyard they jointly owned in France.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, well-known for their roles in Bullet Train and Maleficent respectively, initially crossed paths on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005. Their romance blossomed, resulting in a family with six children: Maddox (age 23), Pax (age 20), Zahara (age 19), Shiloh (age 18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (age 16).
Concerning their latest productions, the movie titled “Jolie’s Maria,” where Angelina Jolie portrays the renowned opera singer Maria Callas, is included in the competitive section at Venice Film Festival. The film features Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alba Rohrwacher, Haluk Bilginer, and Pierfrancesco Favino alongside Jolie.
Simultaneously, Pitt teams up with George ‘Bloody’ once more for the movie titled Wolfs. In this production, they both portray solitary trouble-shooters under the guidance of director John Watts. The film, featuring Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Richard Kind, is scheduled to be screened at a film festival outside of competition.
Notable movies set to debut at the prestigious event are also Babygirl starring Nicole Kidman, Joker: Folie à Deux featuring Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix, The Room Next Door with Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton, and Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Other titles will follow.
The Venice Film Festival runs from August 28 to September 7.
