The man who once swung through the city as our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man now embodies a 1600s Japanese Jesuit priest on screen! Isn’t it just amazing how this collaboration came to be? Truly, having Spider-Man involved in the making of Silence is nothing short of magical.
Luca Guadagnino, who attended the festival, expressed his fascination with Spider-Man. Reflecting on the past, he shared that when Sam Raimi directed the first film, Guadagnino was around 28 or 29 years old. He admitted to having megalomaniac tendencies and often had dreams of being given the opportunity to direct a Spider-Man movie himself.
For those unfamiliar, Garfield and Guadagnino are teaming up for an upcoming movie called “After The Hunt,” with Julia Roberts also featured in the cast.
