Andrew Garfield Has Seemingly Started Lying Again About His Potential Role in ‘Spider-Man 4’: “You might have been duped”

As a long-time Marvel fan and follower of Andrew Garfield‘s career, I can’t help but chuckle at the continuous dance he’s been doing with fans regarding his involvement in future Spider-Man films. It’s like we’re playing a game of cat and mouse, and he’s clearly enjoying every second of it.

Andrew Garfield starred as Spider-Man in the films “The Amazing Spider-Man” (2012) and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” (2014). Despite the franchise not reaching massive success during his time, his portrayal was appreciated by many, causing quite a buzz among fans when he joined Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire in “Spider-Man: No Way Home.

As a gamer, I’ve got to say, the hype around No Way Home was something else! And let me tell you, Tom Holland wasn’t the only one keeping us guessing – Andrew Garfield played his cards close to his chest too. For two whole years, he straight-up denied any involvement in the movie. It was like a secret mission or an epic quest we were all trying to solve!

Initially, Andrew Garfield refused to confirm his involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), leading fans to speculate wildly. However, following the movie’s release and after being able to speak freely about it, Garfield revealed that he secretly enjoyed keeping the mystery alive and deceiving people for two years.

For about two years, I deceived others, even online, with my falsehoods. Maintaining this secret was an enjoyable game, much like planning a surprise birthday party while keeping it hidden from the guest of honor who might say, “I don’t like surprises, is there really going to be a party?” It gave me a similar thrill.

There’s a lot of chatter about Spider-Man 4 being made, with many believing that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire could reappear as their iconic Spider-Man characters. Since the movie is expected to delve deeper into multiverse concepts, like its predecessor, and because legacy heroes are trending in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s possible that the producers might decide to recreate the successful formula from earlier films.

According to Indiewire’s interview, Garfield found himself in a predicament similar to the boy who cried wolf when asked about Spider-Man 4. He clarified that he isn’t connected with the project and attributed any rumors to fan misconceptions stemming from internet conjecture.

The internet is vast, and it seems many individuals may say things to attract attention or clicks. Unfortunately, there’s a possibility that you might have fallen for misleading information.

As a gamer, I’ve got to admit, Garfield’s latest remarks seem plausible on paper. However, considering his past denials, it’s becoming increasingly hard for me to believe him these days. Frankly, most folks aren’t giving much weight to what he’s saying now.
